Ally tag request As we all know having safe spaces for queer people is really important and currently there is no tag for this on Twitch. This has meant that a lot of people have been using the LGBTQIA+ tag to represent a safe zone. There has been controversy in cis straight people using this tag and adding a tag for Allies would easily remedy this issue.

Today we added more than 350 new tags, including a standalone “Ally” tag, and updated the existing “LGBTQIA+” tag to remove references to ally.

Embroidery Tag Hey everyone! I started a couple weeks ago my embroidery work. But sadly there is no Embroidery-Tag. I found tags like Crochet oder Knitting. Even Cross Stitch is listed. But Embroidery is missing. And I talked to some embroidery artist who are streaming on Twitch too. They miss the Embroidery-Tag too.
Furthermore I had some people in my stream who told me, that they started doing embroidery work and were looking for inspiration and advises on twitch. An Embroidery Tag would help them really out, to find what they are looking for.

Trans tag request It is hard enough finding trans representation in our daily lives. With the LGBTQIA+ tag, one still needs to browse through channels and spend time in them to find trans streamers. A "trans" tag would help people searching for these communities.

We are really appreciative for all of the feedback around this topic (and other related suggestions).
We previously told you that we had a better solution to this request than adding the tag, and we were wrong. This has been one of the most popular requests we’ve heard, and the simple truth is that we should have done this sooner. In an effort to think carefully about how to best address this, we only made the situation more difficult. Again, thank you for helping us throughout this process in reevaluating our stance.

Safe Space Tag We need a "safe space" tag, so that LGBTQ+ viewers can find LGBTQ+-friendly channels, without allies having to use the LGBTQIA+ tag, which jumbles everyone together. Without this tag, allies don't have a clean way to signal their inclusivity.

Re-add a Category for "Super Monkey Ball" The Super Monkey Ball category was removed from Twitch after the platform's switch from Giant Bomb to IGDB. As IGDB classes it as a sub game of the original Monkey Ball (and the Admins being unwilling to change this) Super Monkey Ball has been removed from the Twitch game directory. As a result, streamers playing the previously popular game are now using categories with far less visibility (Monkey Ball/Games + Demos) or flat out wrong categories (such as Super Monkey Ball 2). Change "Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos" to "Warcraft III" Since the release of Warcraft3 - Reforged earlier this year, Reign of Chaos is no longer a standalone game. It's all merge in Warcraft3 Reforged.

Unmerge Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels Twitch on January 12th merged the categories for Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels and Super Mario Bros. 2.
These are completely separate games with completely separate gameplay, streamers, and audiences. The merging seems to be done by mistake as they both share similarities in their naming variants, Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels often called Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japan) as it was the original sequel released in Japan only.
On IGDB, both Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels and Super Mario Bros. 2 have separate categories, so this seems to have been done via manual intervention on Twitch…

Merge the Pokemon titles back together Please merge the Pokemon games back together. There should be no reason why the games should be even MORE fragmented than they already are. (Ex: Sword, Shield, and Sword/Shield Dual Pack are all separate categories. Why?) This completely destroys discoverability for the community. Things like this just make users lose faith in Twitch when they preach working on discoverability & search functionality for it's users.
Or even better, create one franchise category for Pokemon (and other franchises) like others have suggested here.
102 votesSorry for all the confusion with this. We’ve recombined and restored Pokémon titles by generation. There may continue to be a handful of strange bundles in the system (example: Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield Double Pack), however we will be removing those as well. Thanks for your patience!

Show calendar of upcoming streams for followed channels With the schedule feature allowing streamers to set their upcoming schedule, it would be great if that schedule could be used to show an agenda or calendar view of upcoming streams for channels a person follows. A tab could be added to the current "Following" page for "Upcoming" streams that would show the when the next scheduled streams are.

monster hunter Please re-instate Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate as separate game categories.
These are three distinct games on completely different platforms with different mechanics, stories, and levels/bosses you fight.
There's no category that streamers of these games can fit into with them gone ! Please give us back our Monster Hunter games!

Add tags for Inuit and Métis Nation to include all Indigenous peoples in Canada The only current tag that specifically refers to Indigenous people within Canada's borders is First Nations, which specifically excludes Inuit (akin to Alaska Native which is a tag) and the Métis Nation. Please consult with members of the groups mentioned.

Ethnicity Tags I don't think there needs to be a White tag, but it would be really cool to support Black, Indigenous, Asian, etc. (POC) streamers easier by finding them faster with ethnic tags. It might also help POC feel more seen by having more access to their content and representation of their content. Sometimes when raiding people, it's hard to find a certain demographic without tags. I understand this could create echo chambers, but perhaps it could also do the opposite by encouraging viewers to check out these tags. It also boosts POC streamers' visibility for others searching for them.

Twitch Refuses to Admit it is not a Safe Space. The LGBTQIA+ tag is not being used correctly and needs addressing. That tag should be exclusively used by the queer community. Anyone else i.e. an ally should have a tag that is called Safe Space to show support and that it is a good place for the community without prejudiced. There's too many none queer users that use the tag in order to profit off the community. This needs addressing and time after time Twitch fails to support. Either fix it or admit it. Choice is yours.

Thank you so much for this feedback. Feedback like this helped us look at what tags we added to Twitch. We do want Twitch to be safe for everyone, fostering communities to be able to connect and show support for one another. How users identify themselves, and where they choose to share that information, is a personal decision. Twitch will not regulate a user’s identity or make decisions about whether or not a user truly identities with a certain demographic.
Thanks to community feedback, we now have Unity, Ally, Safe Space and a plethora of LGBTQIA+ tags (https://www.twitch.tv/directory/all/tags) to start the conversation of helping communities feel safe and seen on Twitch. If there are other tags you would like to see added to Twitch, please let us know and we can work on adding them.

Separate Dota Auto Chess from the Auto Chess category (They are completely different games) Currently the game category Auto Chess is featuring two completely different games (Dota Auto Chess and Auto Chess). It's confusing for new players and hurting each games ability to grow a following. Dota Auto Chess is a mod of Dota and has no cross play/relation to Auto Chess other than name and developers. Auto Chess is completely separate standalone game that deserves its own category.

We do have two separate categories for these games: https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Dota%20Underlords which is for the official Dota 2 Auto Chess game, and https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Auto%20Chess which is for the standalone game that was originally a mod for Dota 2.
We’ve updated the description of both of these games to make it clearer that they are distinct from each other.

New Category: Pool Party I'm aware others have made similar suggestions for an 18+ category or whatev to displace sxy, but not sexually suggestive (unless you view the female body as sxual by nature, which is an entire can of worms in and of itself), hot tub streamers. However, I don't think that actually applies to women who are just sxy, sitting on a banana, as an 18+ category since they do not realistically meet the criteria of prn, or even softcore prn.
