Don't Rename "Travel & Outdoors" to "IRL" Twitch recently announced they're going to make this change, but instead of helping it will only confuse people. IRL is currently a directory that comprises multiple categories: Just Chatting, Travel & Outdoors, Music, Art, Sports, etc. There are some who are nostalgic and stuck in the past, and refer to IRL as outdoor streams only. But, as we've seen, IRL has expanded a lot over time and has become anything a streamer would do that doesn't involve streaming video games. We need to move forward instead of backward.

Live Action Roleplaying I would like to recommend a category for Live Action Roleplaying or LARPing. This would allow for groups such as Belegarth/Dagorhir/Hearthlight/Amtgard/NERO and other LARPs to showcase their events/practices, but it would also provide a space for those who are crafting for LARP purposes, such as making armor/boffers or are telling stories/doing digital meet ups. This would help better define and categorize something that doesn't fit neatly into a single category and would provide an overarching place for this niche to exist in which currently touches: Sports, Crafting, Live Chatting, Art, and so many more categories.

Discover Carousel for Each Category in the Directory Bring the Homepage Carousel feature to every category in the browse section. With each category taking the top recommended streamers based on the individual user's recommended streams in that category into a carousel like design that is used at the top of the front page. Going a step further, having a carousel for every stream tag where possible.

Retro category is unhelpful. Many users do not stream in categories that exist for games, instead choosing to stream in the "Retro" category, making following the category for that game pointless. This only serves to make it more difficult to find streams for a lot of games, and Retro would be much better off used as a tag instead. Pokemon has a similar issue, with many choosing to stream in the category for the latest game instead of the game they're actually playing.

April Fools' IRL categories are a diss at the valid category creation requests that are being ignored Twitch has allotted some resources into creating these categories as a joke: "Just Catting", "Sandwiches", "Cowboy Corner", "Inanimate Objects" and "Chores, Odd Jobs and Errands". They had someone spend time and effort brainstorming for their titles and descriptions, artists creating their cards and engineering adding them to the platform. They've proven that it's not hard at all to get it done. Yet, they still refuse to add some much wanted IRL categories that have been requested on this forum. Please add a 'Scambaiting' category There are a lot of scambaiters on Twitch and that list keeps growing. It would help scambaiters in getting exposure as well as assist members of the scambaiting community in finding new scambaiters to watch if there were a scambaiting category. This is something that would be quick and easy to implement.

New World Duplicate Category Issue There are two categories named "New World" so people are accidentally putting themselves in the wrong category, and all past broadcasts from the game that everyone is actually streaming, even if they're under the correct category, is being saved to the new category of "New World 1982" rather than New World.

Adding a "Shibari" Category for Safe, Educational Purposes Shibari is an art form and if given the ability to educate and teach others safely, I believe a lot of viewers would enjoy learning about its therapeutic nature and artistic beauty.
