Make Followed channels the first thing to popup on our search bars I've joined Raids and I've followed the streamers. Rinse and repeat. Now after months of doing this, I've amassed quite the number of streams followed. The search tab is essentially a new discover tab, and that would be great if i were new to twitch, but Struggling to find channels I've already followed is a major pain and unless I type it in correctly, i'm most likely unable to find the channel I'm looking for especially if they have a fairly long and complicated channel name.
The option I hope to get implemented.
Followed Channels should be the first things…7 votes -

Update indexing for better discovery of Rubik's Cube content Hi - this is very specific, but I was wondering if you could update the indexing for the "Rubik's Cube" category. Right now, if you type "rubiks", the category disappears as you hit the "s" key. I believe that's because it's an exact match on "rubik's", and needs the single quote.
I think allowing "rubiks cube" to display the category "Rubik's Cube" in the search bar would aid in discovery of rubiks cube content.
Thanks for considering!

Add a few Tags (we can search for) for MMO Servers? How hard would it be to add Tags (that we can search/filter for), that correspond to the 'servers' on the more populated MMO's such as FFXIV and WoW?
ie: A few of the "Datacenters" on FFXIV are: Primal, Crystal, Chaos.
ie: A few of the "Realms" for Wow are: Rampage, Shadowburn, Ruin. This would make it easier for viewers to find streamers they could actually meet in-game if the streamer wished, and possibly help grow communities for streamers hoping to grow their channels 'with' those bigger (and more populated) game listings.

Search based on streamer schedules Why not enable the ability to search for streamers based on their listed, scheduled times? Allow the user to input the days/times they tend to watch streams and then recommend them streamers that best match that scheduling. If they don't select it, you could automate it based on viewing data.
This improves discoverability for streamers and also benefits viewers by making it easier to find people they can reliably watch.

Search Changes Recently am having alot of trouble finding "live" streams in my search results. I like to search streams on their titles, such as "pc builds" etc. Now most, if not all, my results are user names, and continually having to scroll to find any live stream is tedious.
Please change the way search functions back to like it was, where I could search for stream titles, not users.

New Search Feature. Hey All! I'm just wondering if anyone agrees with this, and hopefully will become a Site Feature.
Right... Twitch... Please... I'm loving the new changes you've put in Place with the most recent UI... but you're missing one thing.. Searching for titles. As meaningless as it sounds, it'd be a great feature.
For example if i went to twitch now and typed "Horror" in the search bar, only peoples past Vods would come up. Same for if someone went to go search up "[PC]".. wanting to watch a specific Platform.
Someone who's currently live with "Horror" in their title (Which…

Make searching for streamers easier! When I write half of the name of one streamer, it does not go out to me, but another channel goes to me on another streamer!

Sort search results so followed streamers are on top When I hop onto twitch and I'm trying to navigate to a streamer that I am following, I believe that the search results should help me rather than hinder me. The first results of a search should be based on the streamers I am following, whether they are live or not.

Make a more fair formula for being found. Currently the top views are in the top of the list for followed channels. In categories it is the same way. With disabilities we often can't stream the hours or consistently stream like those that do. So finding a better way to be discovered will help those with accessibility needs. We have a voice but sometimes we are not found due to current set up.
It will also make it safer for other streamers that are not disabled. As many people give out bad advice to just constantly stream such as to not work or sleep. That streaming to be…

have the & also match with the word "and" in the search bar If I look up the "Science & technology" category, I think it would be nice if the search "Science and technology" would also match this. I notice that if I use the word "and" the Science and Technology category doesn't show up as a suggestion due to the "&" and "and" mistmatch.

Make navigation to non-live channels you follow easier When I want to watch a past broadcast for a streamer, I usually have to type their full channel name in the search bar, or comb through all my offline followed channels on the left side of the screen to find the link to their channel. I would like the search bar to prioritize showing results for streamers I follow to make getting to their past broadcasts easier.

Help Small Streamers with a new search option This might have been posted around but incase it hasn't my idea is to have a search function where you not only choose the game you want to watch but also select things like Platform, Language and most importantly How many viewers they have. So to explain what I mean I will explain
Say I want to search for Dead by Daylight and I want to watch people on PC and under 10 viewers, the search should pick out my requirements for that search and that way I get to join rooms with 10 or less people in it, this…

sort results I like to watch small streamers. I want to be able to sort my search results based on viewer count. I want to sort showing least views first if i so choose. Tired of scrolling for days to get towards the bottom to click on someone to only start the scrolling to the bottom again

Search results page after search bar query Please add a page to click for a display of videos based on the word/s you have searched for. The current system of scrolling within the search bar is simply not good enough to look for a specific video in the seas of content now populating twitch. This would provide a user optimization in searching for content.

Creative channels easier to find inside and out of Twitch. Having a better system for keywords and search engine especially inside of Twitch would be helpful for Creative. If I want to learn how to draw as opposed to just watching someone draw I could find that more easily.
There should also be a way to search channels that are offline, more like searching profiles instead of old videos.
Creatives also need more of an opportunity to be found outside of Twitch. A description/keyword section (similar to Youtube) would be incredibly helpful to creatives. We're trying to bring in a completely different market, and could use help reaching those viewers.

Keyword/Exact Search options like Google, Exact keyword, contains etc.
Also an idea is filters, like platform, time zone, game, country etc.

Advanced Search Implement a new search system with predefined and/or user defined tags like #lol #csgo #kappa #girlgamer #familyfriendly #twitch etc. It would be nice for a channel to have a handful of tags to identify itself.
