Allow an option to block streamers channels
So they don't show up when you are looking under games for streams to watch.
It would be great if you ignored a user, their channel didn't show up when you were looking for streams to watch

I don't think block is the correct term I would use, blocking a streamer/viewer is one thing, that stops all engagement outright which is a perfectly acceptable option, hiding their channel from your visibility is another thing entirely.
There should be an option much like twitter has to mute a person/channel, so they only show in listings or searches when you specifically look for them.
This would allow a user to differentiate between not wanting to see their channel, and not engaging with that person at all. However the idea in general is a good one so I voted.

PLEASE bring back this feature; I'm tired of seeing half naked girls in my recommended list. It's highly inappropriate.

First there were ASMR channels clogging the 'Just Chatting' category, now we got half naked girls sitting in a pool riding bananas and changing into different bikini every hour. How is this appropriate content for a service like Twitch? Blocking feature needs to be a thing asap. We need to be able to block content we do not wanna see in our feed. This doesn't have to be an entire category blocking, just a single user blocking feature.

Allow me to BLOCK channels I don't want to see. I'm sick to death of hitting the front page to be automatically shown streamers I dont like. Sacriel seems to be there every day yet I don't want to be exposed to certain creators content such as him.

Hi Twitch,
I'm QA and i do quite often work with ideas of improvements. So i use twitch for 8-9 years (or something like this) and i'm not a fan of how Just Chatting category is looking right now. You do receive feedbacks "we don't want to see hottubs and etc. :), so maybe you should add a button to hide particular channel from my lists of channel. I don't want to block them, i just don't want to see them. So in this case everyone will be able to create "their own" twitch.
"Why just don't block the channel you don't want to see?" - because blocking someone means that he is absolutely innapropriate for my "twitch world". In case of hiding the channel (to Hiden folder) it makes possible for me to customize my twitch experience to my personal purposes/preferences.
Also it should help to filter the content for kids if i am a parent. I can surf for homepage and just hide all the channels that i think would be innapropriate for my child.
Just look at this as sandbox. Give the power to the viewer to hide the content which he does not want to see without any offense to streamers.
P.S. There are a lot of details and ideas of how it can be done.

as much as I hide and block booby's streamers they keep appearing, seems like the ai system cant catchup, I know must of booby's streamer are partners and even if they kil someone in stream they won't get banned but still I don't wanna see em, it becomes so frustrating seeing a content creator neck to neck with simps creators, I always rechecking if I'm in twitch or in twitchhub

Agreed. I don't wanna see abusive streamers in my searches, or people that I don't care about.

I would love that feature to be native to the twitch website. There are streamers that I either don't care about or I don't want to interact with. Meanwhile I get to see them in my recommendations regularly. It's kind of strange to me that I need a browser add-on to hide streamers I don't want to see.

Agreed. While we can sort channels by "recommended for you" and then click the vertical dots and click "not interested". That feature doesn't always stop their channel from appearing and it doesn't stop them at all if viewing from any other catagory, such as viewers high to low. This should be changed so we can actually tailor our channel preferences and avoid certain streamers from being showed

5 years and this is still not implemented? Just a solid DGAF from Twich, eh? What, is the issue just not making money from **** streamers that is keeping this BASIC feature from making it to the code?

haha would be great those channel dont appear more when you block them. Even blocking a channel is anti-intuitive.
it's interesting to know it's being like this since 2016...

Blocking someone as a user, is not the same as blocking a channel. As it stands, only viewers can block. This isn’t equal. Allow users to block channels. This feature is needed, because the recommendation feedback tool isn’t listened too. Those channels can still be recommended. Further, if I’m lurking, I can get pulled into a raid. But there are some creators I never want to support. Because sometimes, one can go down the rabbit hole of a few raids and end up in a stream that says the n word.

If someone is blocked by a channel, only the chat is locked. That user still gets notifications and recommendations for a channel they’re not welcome in. That isn’t a good UX. When blocked, the user should get a notification, and have that channel unfollowed, and hidden. The current system leads to creators receiving harassment on other platforms.

I want to be able to hide some streamer/channel, i don't want to see them, not only in recommendations.
