Re-add a Category for "Super Monkey Ball"
The Super Monkey Ball category was removed from Twitch after the platform's switch from Giant Bomb to IGDB. As IGDB classes it as a sub game of the original Monkey Ball (and the Admins being unwilling to change this) Super Monkey Ball has been removed from the Twitch game directory. As a result, streamers playing the previously popular game are now using categories with far less visibility (Monkey Ball/Games + Demos) or flat out wrong categories (such as Super Monkey Ball 2). All VODs previously streamed under the defunct category have been moved to Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz or have no game associated at all, which can make it hard to find the videos.
All of this is fracturing the passionate community behind the game as content is split all over the place instead of into the correct, convenient category it used to live in. Having spoken to both IGDB admins and Twitch support, it seems that the only way to get the game readded is if the community shows enough support through this UserVoice page, so I encourage fans of the game to vote on this idea so it is visible to Twitch staff.
Thank you for your patience!

I think Super Monkey Ball is more than a remake. Pretty sure some of the design like menus, UI, etc were completely changed, and there is a bunch of new modes and games that do not exist in the arcade game. Like the minigames themselves are enough content to make their own game. I think Super Monkey Ball should be added back as a category.

Super Monkey Ball is far more than just a remake - it adds tons of new content, not just to the main gamemode, but in the form of a DOZEN unique party and minigames that do not exist in the original. It is a complete aesthetic overhaul, with the only comparable thing between the two games being the base main-game levels (except master) and physics of the ball.

This would be incredibly helpful! The original Monkey Ball (the arcade cabinet version) is almost never streamed, since it's basically just Super Monkey Ball but far less accessible and with less content. Meanwhile people actually stream Super Monkey Ball, whether it be for speedruns or casual playthroughs.
