Trans tag request
It is hard enough finding trans representation in our daily lives. With the LGBTQIA+ tag, one still needs to browse through channels and spend time in them to find trans streamers. A "trans" tag would help people searching for these communities.

Today we are rolling out 350+ tags, including the transgender tag, to provide you with more options on how you express yourself and your content, so that you can more easily connect with one another and build wonderful communities. We are really appreciative for all of the feedback around this topic (and other related suggestions).
We previously told you that we had a better solution to this request than adding the tag, and we were wrong. This has been one of the most popular requests we’ve heard, and the simple truth is that we should have done this sooner. In an effort to think carefully about how to best address this, we only made the situation more difficult. Again, thank you for helping us throughout this process in reevaluating our stance.
Please continue to share ideas and feedback you have to UserVoice, as well as any suggestions for additional tags you feel we may have missed! We are working to invest more into this forum and aim to have faster communications in the future.
Please check out our blog post for more info: https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/05/26/celebrate-yourself-and-your-community-with-350-new-tags/

The idea that your trying to "protect" trans folk from targeted hate is bs. We get targeted regardless, find a better way to stop people from harassing streamers(As a WHOLE).
Stop trying to hide us away, yall look bad.

It has been over 2 years since the initial request. The time for change is now.

When your community asks you for something, you do it.

Non-binary music streamer here - trans tags would definitely help us find our community! LGBTQIA streamers already will receive targeted hate regardless, so using that as an argument against trans tags is futile. Let's make it easier to connect with others like ourselves in the community so we can spread our love and be understood <3 Give us the trans tag for pride month!!

Hi, cishet, bearded, white, male here, we'd like our trans friends to have this like right meow also. I don't know why this is a difficult decision or task.

It’s time to go with this Twitch. Don’t make it a huge Pride month announcement or something exploitive like that. This is for the Trans community and they wanted it yesterday. It takes like 12 minutes. Let’s go.

There is no argument not to do it. Just do it.

Soooooo.... still nothing?? come on do better. the lack of communication is awful. the fact twitch will do other things, but still refuses to make a Trans tag is sad. do better. You keep breaking the trust of the community more and more each day. what is it going to take, to get a Trans Tag?. Twitch is quick to take away /me colour text but a Trans Tag?? nope .

It is completely fine if the feature isn't ready yet or maybe you have bigger better plans for this. What isn't okay is leaving us hanging. Give us something tangible, a roadmap, share a progress update. Establish a check-in cycle so we can at least feel like we aren't being ghosted.
Trust is so incredibly important for a brand and to be left high and dry like this feels terrible. We love Twitch, I know that sometimes it can feel like we have pitchforks out but the reality is that we are requesting this feature for the love of our community.
There is so much opportunity for Twitch to focus on lifestyle driven content and the features which support it are mutually beneficial for everyone. If Peer2Peer has taught us anything, its that amazing things happen when we allow people to find each other.
Communities that are stronger are safer, they spend more money on each other, charity is significantly increased, and people spend more time on the site. That is such a good thing for Twitch, I'm sure even the stingiest stakeholder could see this argument if it was just presented to them.
I really hope we can at least hear something in the next few days before pride, so we know that we know our voices aren't going unheard.

How many more votes do you need to do the bare minimum, Twitch?

6 months already passed and all we have is 'we ask for patience' and 'we did not forget you', but EVERY SINGLE DAY trans people is not represented in the plataform!
As said, they FEEL there MIGHT be a better solution.
They can't share ANYTHING and simply leave us blind in the promise of 'we are doing something'.
I'm tired of this, creating a tag is a simple micro-solution to our problem.
While you are FEELING there MIGHT be a better solution, we can be in a better spot than what we are right now! -

Ok Twitch, if there is a better response than a Tag, create a Tag, implement it, and when there is a better idea.. do that too.. You've responded twice, and not for 7 months now.
Do better Twitch.

The trans community deserves to have this extremely simple tool to help network collaborate and support one another, as well as to assist viewers in finding creators that represent them. It's kind of wild we even have to campaign to get this put in.

This needs to happen. The trans community is unfairly marginalized and you can help fight this problem... please just make the tag happen.
