Please add a tag for transgender people please! It would make me feel so much more safe. There are people in the LGBTQIA+ group who are transphobic too. Adding a #trans or #transgender or something would be super.

Long overdue!

trans people need (at the very least) a trans tag so other people in the community may find people like them in order to support and commune with one another. this is long overdue. and this tag should not be for allies, it should be for trans people period.

This is not only wanted by a lot of users but NEEDED too. Trans creators usually get burried in the numbers of the LGBTQIA+ tag, and don't get me wrong, having hugen numbers in the LGBTQIA+ tag is great but also blurs everyone together and doesn't amplifies some specific voices as a plataform like Twitch should.

Just adding the tag is the fastest, easiest way to do something now. Keep working on the other ideas, for sure, but this is long overdue.
If the main thing stopping it from happening is concern about trolls, that's a never ending problem anyway and it's not nearly as big as the benefit for the community.

It's been almost three years since the tag system was implemented, over two years since this request was posted, and over 7 months since you've updated the thread, which you said you would do "even if you didn’t have anything solid to share with us." The longer you go without giving people anything concrete, the more your trans users and creators start to think you don't care about them.

I know for a fact you have trans staff at Twitch. I know for a fact you've suspended people for transphobia. I know for a fact that you don't absolutely hate trans people, or you wouldn't have even bothered to respond to this post. But if you actually care about us, even just as consumers who use your website and make you money, you'll do something, ANYTHING, to let us know what steps you're taking.

Because if you're not careful, some other streaming site is going to come along with way better features for LGBT users, and suddenly, you'll have lost a rapidly growing and valuable demographic. And I don't think you want that.

As a trans creator, I think this would be fantastic. I could bring more of the community in and be a good source of love and a safe place.

Twitch, please tell us how you will address this. I'm excited to see what solution you'll come up with that might not involve a tag (idk how??) but PLEASE make sure that whatever solution it is, it is a solution that trans creators actually want. Work with them, because this is for them, and they deserve to be involved in how it should be implemented in the platform.

Waiting two years for you to get your reading done - sorry for adding to your backlog, but please get on with it.

After this being up for over 2 years I think it is time to do something about this 1 request supported by thousands of people and multiple communities. Twitch surely it's worth it for the thousands of people that would appreciate a singular tag to make it easier to interact with others in the community so that they don't have to feel isolated and alone. If you're gonna save this to your bank for some bs reason then check yourself I'm pretty sure it's been long enough.

Features that have been added recently such as the Boosting feature have only resulted in further harassment in my own and my friend's streams. Regardless of whether or not a Trans tag actually results in further harassment, what it will do is help increase our visibility, so that we can further branch out our support networks and connections with one another. Adding a Trans tag amplifies our voices, something that we desperately need in these current times.

How about you stop giving us things we don't need or want, like a /chant command, and give the people who need to be represented the most the tag they've been asking for?

Yes please!! While the LGBTQUIA+ tag is great, it is too vague currently. Please make it easier for trans folks to support each other on twitch! :)
