Trans tag request
It is hard enough finding trans representation in our daily lives. With the LGBTQIA+ tag, one still needs to browse through channels and spend time in them to find trans streamers. A "trans" tag would help people searching for these communities.

Today we are rolling out 350+ tags, including the transgender tag, to provide you with more options on how you express yourself and your content, so that you can more easily connect with one another and build wonderful communities. We are really appreciative for all of the feedback around this topic (and other related suggestions).
We previously told you that we had a better solution to this request than adding the tag, and we were wrong. This has been one of the most popular requests we’ve heard, and the simple truth is that we should have done this sooner. In an effort to think carefully about how to best address this, we only made the situation more difficult. Again, thank you for helping us throughout this process in reevaluating our stance.
Please continue to share ideas and feedback you have to UserVoice, as well as any suggestions for additional tags you feel we may have missed! We are working to invest more into this forum and aim to have faster communications in the future.
Please check out our blog post for more info: https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/05/26/celebrate-yourself-and-your-community-with-350-new-tags/

Give the representation that's deserved! When it's asked for, YOU don't get to tell a community reasons they don't want it. It's asked for, it's wanted.

I'm a trans female, but my voice still sounds very masculine, and that's one of the first things that anyone gets about me. The LGBTQ+ tag does help a little bit with this, but I'd like my being trans in particular to be more apparent sooner.

I'm a trans streamer but my viewers often default to using she/her still, when I ID as trans/non-binary/more masc overall. The existing LGBTQ+ tag doesn't help to define me as trans, as allies on Twitch often use it to show support & safe spaces, but I want people to know me for who I am. I am trans. I don't want there to be any doubt about that in people's minds when they visit my channel.

To those who say this will just invite harassment to all trans streams and twitch won't do anything to stop it:
What have they ever done?
Our streams are handled by our mods or ourselves. This is how it will be and how it's always been. We know that people will be trashy towards us, we don't really care, we can just ban them. We still want a tag. We need the ability to find and network with other trans creators, and for people to be able to find our communities, because right now, we're basically not there. The solution to harassment is not to shove the harassed in a cupboard and pretend they don't exist.

Unbelievable how suggestions with barely any votes get approved, yet this one is ignored. Do better Twitch, we’re waiting (and have been waiting for a while now).
