(South) African Twitch Ingest Server
It would be great if you guys could set an African, or South African, server up at some point in the not-too-distant future. I live in South Africa and have a really hard time streaming to any of the EU, let alone the NA or Asian ones. Currently YouTube has streaming servers here but it just isn't the same streaming to YouTube Gaming. The Twitch community is what makes it what it is and not being able to run a stable stream from here in South Africa turns so many would-be streamers away from potential bright futures on Twitch.tv. We have a large community of gamers ready and waiting.
Please consider setting a server up for us down here or wherever else you can that's not too far. South Africa and the other countries nearby deserve a chance too! :D

South Africa has needed to be put on the "global board" in the esports/e-entertainment industry for the longest of time. I think its time that twitch makes the move and to begin the snowball effect for the talent that South Africa has and it's creators to be put on the global board. It wont only benefit the creators and the viewers currently supporting them but it will benefit twitch itself with further growth and future, well-deserving, hard working, partners to rep the twitch name :)

Yes please. This is a much needed addition to enable local south african streamers to stream directly to twitch and not have to rely on unstable relay services and 3rd party service providers.

With AWS officially having a data center in Cape Town, it would make perfect sense to open up some twitch ingest servers there!

The Streaming scene in South Africa is massive. It has been an incredible platform for many to express themselves and build potential careers. The inclusion would bolster this process and prove to be a invaluable to this growth and has the potential to bring in more streamers to the fold.

We really can't get a server on the entire continent? Come now. Give us a little respect there Amazon.

A slept on continent that is waiting to be recognized and once recognized never taken for granted again! The talent here would be able to flourish with this simple change, please…

Streaming in South Africa is booming, it should become more accessible to new streamers without the added difficulties of using a relay just to stream. There are so many streamers and viewers that would benefit from better quality streams in SA!

It would be great to finally get servers within the African continent considering we’re always left to the wayside. AWS servers are also now available in Cape Town so there really is no excuse for us not to be included

I too am a South African Streamer, and this would greatly make things easier for us to have a designated twitch server

You make enough money from content creators to at least justify having some servers.

The fact that Africa is left out AGAIN is incredibly frustrating. Especially since Amazon has a presence in SA.

Many creators here are paying for relays just to stream to Twitch and it's an additional expense that many other creators on Twitch don't have to consider (and one of the reasons some creators leave to YT because of the local Google servers making it one less hoop to jump through).

A Southern African based server would allow more stable connections for creators from the entire Southern part of the continent. While South Africans would benefit, these benefits would extend to any countries sharing our borders who struggle with connection stability. It speaks to an acknowledgement of the continent which is lacking in most tech.

Can concur, we need servers to better out content. It makes all the difference in the world, having to stream with a fear of is the stream going to drop, is it going to stay stable, takes focus away from pure content creation.

We need this to help us all with our stability of streams! There is so much untapped potential in South Africa because of these limitations we face! Twitch, we believe you can help with this to help your creators, PLEASE!
