Video Quality Make it possible for non-affiliates/partners to provide for their viewers the option to change video quality. Small streamers have to stream at 720p at least to be attractive to new viewers, but not all viewers can run the stream at such level and it gets laggy. This is a serious hindrance for anyone trying to make it on the Twitch platform.

Give everybody choosable video quality plz I think it's stupid to not give everybody the possibility to choose which video quality have to watch his/her favourite streamer.
Best regards,

Twitch causes my game to lag, video quality jumps from good to poor, to error. Twitch has been a great stream platform to use, but lately on Windows 10, that has not been the case. Every video I try to stream, it causes each game to run poorly. What's so strange, is that once I'm no longer streaming, the game runs smoothly.
Then, if I'm not playing the game, then my Twitch has great quality.
Is anyone else experiencing such issues? It wasn't always like this, I streamed a lot a some weeks ago, and everything seemed fine.
I hope that there is a resolve for this. I try to submit bug reports, and it…

Increase Highlight Videos Quality When I download a highlighted clip, the video quality is soooooooooo bad. It would be nice to either present us with a few quality options before downloading (Low/Med/High) or just always "prepare" and download a High quality version of the video. In my opinion 9 times out of 10 we're downloading these to perform further edits on them, and it would be great to do so using a high quality source, with the least amount of compression possible.

how about you let us small streamers have decent bandwidth?? it would be novel if my stream for AC Valhalla that had 4 viewers as a start had enough bitrate that they didn't run for the hills because it was un viewable!!! This is not an isolated issue for smaller streamers either!!! No its not my internet I have Fiber so I have plenty of headroom on network since I alone use it. Fix it twitch small streamers deserve a fair shake!!!

add 240p option Would be nice to have for mobile app users, because 160p is too bad and 240p is still good for data saving, also phone screens are usually small, so high quality is not necessary and 240p seems just right on such small screens while still saving data.

Make 720P available for affiliate I'm an affiliate trying to grow on Twitch. I have numerous people come into my channel asking why 720P isn't available as 1080p is too strong for their bandwidth.
It's making me lose potential followers and its pretty annoying. 720P should not be locked behind becoming a partner especially when it is potentially stopping people from getting closer to partner.

Disable 160p I can't speak for everyone, but 160p is by far the worst looking, and sounding, quality. For those with terrible internet speeds, that's fine, but I'm totally fine with my video 30 seconds behind the streamer over this terrible quality that's coming in regardless of what quality I put it at (as it automatically downgrades to 160p if it can't handle it, heavens forbid we put you 15 seconds behind the streamer). I just want the ability to tell twitch on my side, once and for all, NO 160P QUALITY FOR ME.

Vergonhoso!!!! I have all the right settings to record at 1080p 60fps, and even so the image continues to pixelate, I already lowered the resolution, I did everything and nothing changes. upload 170, pc i7 7geração gtx 1060 however I don't even play on pc with capture card via console and pc using streamlabs obs. I made all kinds of settings and nothing takes away the pixelation in the game images every time I move.

increase the bitrate limit currently the bitrate limit is 6k which isnt enough for 1440p streams
while on youtube they allow streams at higher bitrates at 1440p1 vote -
Multi quality for people with poor connection/data saving for mobile or pc For people with bad internet, I would like these users to be able to see the affiliate streams at a lower resolution or at least 30 fps, that way apart from helping people with bad connection it also helps the streamer to be known without that quality barrier.

Limit the default quality to 720p and 30 fps. 1080p and 60 fps is excessive and wastes bandwidth. A stream does not require 60FPS playback. Ever. It's a complete waste of bandwidth and should not even be an option. For people like me that have slower internet it makes it impossible to watch a lot of streamers. Many streamers don't even realize that they're streaming at 60 FPS and how it literally DOUBLES the bandwidth requirements but does not give any benefit to the quality of the stream. I wish Twitch would make the default 720p 30 FPS and allow some users to increase to 1080p 30FPS once they reach partner or something. Not only would this decrease…

Improve adaptive bitrate streaming for non focused players Make the adaptive bitrate streaming work such that non focused players reduce the stream to audio only.
For mobile applications which are SPAs this would translate into background (that is not picture-in-picture) and foreground (or picture-in-picture)1 vote -
More info about stream settings for beginners I've been streaming for a year now, and still don't know what settings I'm able to use as someone that isn't affiliated. Can I stream at 1080p, or will it not downscale? etc. Once I get affiliated does anything change? or do I have to wait until I'm a partner? It's really vague and ur current setting site just doesn't help.

tradeoff choice: delay vs. video quality Guys during livestreams there are often bandwidth issues, so basically you have to accept really ****** quality & interrupts to stay live. For some events though I totally would not mind being 10 minute delayed or so in order to have the stream preloaded and available in good quality and sacrificing real time. Such a feature would be great. Also when rewatching videos - the download should continue when the pause button is pressed or should not reload when you jump back in time - it is a pitty that you can't really watch high quality videos, because the player…
