Chat Memory Leak
Date observed: 5/5/2022
Twitch chat is causing memory leaks. I only observed this because I was watching a streamer with 100k+ viewers and my computer crashed with 32GB of memory with all other applications closed.
In Dev Tools on a Chromium browser:
- Select "Performance monitor" in Dev tools.
- Observe the JS heap size and the DOM nodes, they progressively increase as chats are sent.
Another way to observe:
- select "Memory" tab in Dev tools.
- Use "Allocation instrumentation on timeline".
- Record and observe the memory allocation.
Note: tested on Edge and Google Chrome with all the extensions turned off.

Make bot messages stand out
With streamers wanting to promote a game or socials for example and they have a bot doing it every so often I feel like bot messages can go unnoticed. I came up with a simple idea to help make them stand out more as showing here:

Moment Badge is bugged
(on desktop) - claiming the moments Badge on dekstop didnt show up - i am not talking about an already claimed badge - i am talking about the notification you need to click - idk what could be the bug there but somebody might wanna check it out peepoJuice

elo chat (ranked games like (league/dota/overwatch and so on)
Lets say you are streaming league and you like to interact with chat but u get these bronze/silver players that are trying to coach u and backseat u in the chat and that just makes you angry and tilted.
if a streamer had a option to filter chat messages by the accounts verified ELO in that game.
Lets say Thebausffs streams league and he dosent want to read some of the messages lower elo people are typing, he could only FILTER for himself that he wants to only see the messages from a certain elo (lets say D1+)

TwitchFridge badge
It would be really nice to have a TwitchFridge badge for every artist that made it to the majestic and very white TwitchFridge so people will actually know that they are artists and it could be very usefull for small creators as me so actually other artist will recognise them and spread the community.

Chat alerts
The chat box should have the ability to chime a noise once anyone says something like aim used to work years ago. Obviously if you have tons of chatters messages constantly, this would probably be not used but for small streaming channels who get a few messages per stream, it would be great to hear when someone writes in chat rather than constantly having to look at an empty chat for messages.

Bit Badges to Reflect on Leaderboards
The bit text colour on daily, weekly, monthly or all-time leaderboards on Twitch do not remain consistent with the bit badge colours.
Example, the 10,000 bit badge is red, as is the text, this switches to pink at 25,000 bits, however the text doesn't switch to pink at 25,000 but stays red until 100,000 at which point it switches to yellow (which matches the bit badge) but then it stays on yellow forever, no matter how many bits are donated past that point.

Fix hyperlinking permanently
The idea is simple: it a link doesn't start with "http://" or "https://" or other similar handlers, DO NOT automatically convert it into a hyperlink. Because there are people with a busted space bar that can get unjustly purged because the moderation bot is set to catch any hyperlink.
And on the subject, also make the bot-catching system identify fake links once any has been reported.

Only Emote Texte ausblenden
Guten Tag, ich bin mittlerweile wirklich genervt von diesen Only-Emote-Spams im Chat, weil man den Chat einfach nicht mehr lesen kann. Deshalb wünsche ich mir unten in den Chat-Einstellungen eine Option, womit ich Postings mit nur Emotes ausblenden lassen kann und nur Texte und Texte mit Emotes angezeigt bleiben. Wichtig dabei wäre auch eine Prüfung, die Texte mit weniger Text als Emotes ausblendet. Da es wieder Trolls geben wird, die versuchen werden die Only Emote Funktion auszubooten und ein A vor die Emotes setzten, um andere zu belästigen.

Hide uptime and similar chat commands
It seems extremely irrelevant to display commands for everyone else. If someone wants to know the uptime it does not mean that everyone else does.

채팅 지울시 생기는 버그 ( 텍스트 커서가 멋대로 앞으로 이동한다.
채팅 지울시 생기는 버그 ( 텍스트 커서가 멋대로 앞으로 이동한다.)
그로 인해서 마지막 끝 글자가 전송되지않는다.채팅을 지우고 다시 쓰려고 하면 지워졌던 채팅의 마지막 한 글자가 다시 나와 써진다.
계정을 로그아웃도 해보았고 크롬을 삭제하고 초기화도 해보았다.
의문점 - 다른 계정으로 로그인 했을 경우에는 채팅에 아무런 문제가 없다 사용하는 현 계정에서만 채팅 커서 버그가 발생한다.

Remove my own account from leadeboards
Hi,
I would like to be able remove myself from leaderboard of specific channel.
I am able to do it globally in my account setting, but after supporting 100+ channels, I would like to be able to remove it from a specific one and keep the rest. I have supported few creators, which have been associated with some kind of drama and I have been harassed online for supporting them, eventhough I supported them before the drama.Is it possible to add some kind of feature to channel's chat or account setting to be excluded from specific leaderboards?

Choose his badge

It might be interesting to choose the badge you want from the following lists :

And sub progression (can choose the first icon month (and precise that the person is sub since 2month in ''()'')).Example : Choose the color of our favorite sub gifter badge can be great.

Broadcaster/Streamer continuity
The list of users in chat has those big categories with an icon next to them now. However, the category under which the Broadcaster is listed is called "Streamer", while his badge and most other texts call him "Broadcaster". I'd be happy if that gets renamed accordingly.
