Allocation for cheering and allocation of followers in the chat like as subscribers. Why not do it like in other competitors so that for example cheering messages hang at the top for a while and that they can be read while they hang there at the top. And make a selection of simple followers as it is done for subscribers, you can also do it for a while, for example, the icon with an avatar hung at the top of the chat and then disappeared.

improve chat latency Chat latency needs to be improved upon, because it's constantly trying to send and receive 0 Bytes of data which in turn causes the chat to need to constantly "reconnect". I've monitored over the period of 20 minutes to an hour where the chat is constantly flooded with "Welcome to chat", and the network monitor shows the Twitch chat API constantly sending 0 Bytes taking up to 1.0 minutes to 1.6 minutes, where else everything takes ⅓ of that to load at at rate of around 3 ms - 400ms.
wss://irc-ws.chat.twitch.tv/ Websocket takes up 1 minute to 1.6 minutes to…

Change letter and video size there is still no option to change the letter size - only by using bttv! Would be very very nice to do it directly on twitch without a 3rd party tool! Also i suggest an option for different sizes for the video/stream player - right now i have big video window which uses to much space

Dark mode + "Black" (#000000) names Current dark mode with the new twitch app on phones and black (#000000) colored names do not work well, while white (#ffffff) colored names are being changed to light grey.
Please change #000000 to dark grey. Thank you.

Allow regular chat users to report messages in chat. One of my favourite streamers has recently grown to a point where it's hard to get a handle on chat. He plays with other streamers, and the chat has grown so hostile that it's discouraging streamers returning, and discouraging me (and presumably others) from participating.
I feel for the moderators. The chat moves so fast that it's nearly impossible for them to do their jobs.
It should be possible for us normal users to help out. Let us report messages to the moderators. Give them a separate tab from chat, that just singles out the reported messages to let them…

Chat to be first! "Chat to be first!" Once someone accomplishes that then it changes to "Welcome to the chat room!"

CTRL+Delete doesn't work Holding CTRL and pressing the Delete key should delete the full word to the right of the cursor, like how holding CTRL and pressing Backspace deletes whole word to the left of the cursor, but doesn't seem to work on the text boxes of Twitch. I only tested the chat input and the search bar at the top.

For the live chat in blind runs: Reserve the chat only for the streamer and bot. I see many live streamers in a blind run who keep running the warning messages about hints, suggestions and spoilers and while I'm looking at all of it I keep thinking "why enable the live chat at all in this case"? "Why stream live at all when the option does not exist"?
The only way I could imagine it's possible is making the bot spam the clear command on chat continuously, but it would clear all the messages of the bot too that the others could find useful.
Other streaming sites have this option, so why not Twitch?

Chat Control / Reducing Chat Volume Create a separate chat channel that only allows only 10 comments to be posted a minute (or something similar), with an added chat queue system. If I type a comment, I will have to wait in a queue for my comment to be posted, as only a certain amount of comments will be posted to the chat within a timeframe.
This will make it so a chat channel exists without a crazy amount of comment volume. It will allow streamers to actually see and read comments people are making. Yes, it does mean a lot of comments won't be posted,…

deleting comments in streams i was wondering if you could make it so we could delete our own comments everyone makes mistakes and but we cant delete our mistakes. also any chance making it possible for mods to be able to delete comments without putting people in timeouts not all comments need to be timed out. that would be awesome thank you

Add a new chat view for streamers to split messages into 4-5 lanes/columns. For streamers with a large amount of viewers active in chat, often messages will be missed because the chat has already scrolled past. Since many streamers use a secondary monitor to watch chat, a single vertical column of text is not a very efficient means of utilizing screen-space. Instead I'd recommend splitting chat into four or five independent chat scrolls, by splitting users up into equal, random groups (so a particular user's message would always appear in the same column). This would enhance the ability of the streamer to read individual messages during high activity periods in chat.

Gifs in chat like. Not like BTTV gif emotes but full gifs in chat. I would like to be able to use gifs in Twitch chat like I can in Discord chats and on Twitter. Some things can be more easily expressed via gifs. If this feature is implemented it could also come with the ability to ban certain gifs such as if a channel has something against pasta they could ban all gifs with 'pasta' as one of the search tags.

Users should be able to scroll through the whole chat from a full broadcast. When we're watching a broadcast, I think it would be a good idea for the whole chat log to be scrollable and not just snippets cut off like every 5 minutes.

This new feature with entire users chat history is a bit much. I totally get the reasoning but lets be honest a lot of the humor on twitch is cheeky straddling the line of offensive. Without the context of that channels convo at the time it totally misrepresents the jokes being made when viewed in that history manor. If you dont understand this view then you dont understand comedy and comedy is a massive part of the twitch community. This feature is misrepresenting every ones statements making them seem harsher then they actually are. The art of comedy is to getting people to laugh at things they never thought would be funny…

Add a special verified badge for industry folk A number of developers, voice actors, etc have come into my stream to watch the community enjoy their creation. Some of these people are truthful, some are lying about being devs in order to get attention. Please provide a verification process and badge for game industry people so they can be readily recognized.
For larger streamers, having a special badge will draw the streamer's eye to the devs comments so they can better keep track of what they're saying. For streamers of any size, having an easily recognizable developer in chat will help boost chat liveliness.

Implement a thing from social networks that says "256 symbols remaining" So that I could tell how many more symbols I can add to my chat message before the moderating bot would delete that message and time me out for sending it. Accordingly to the streamer's settings of the moderating bot of course.
