chat disconnecting when fullscreen
As of a few days ago, every. single. time. one enters fullscreen on any stream, the chat will stop loading messages and disconnect until you exit fullscreen. There is no way to catch up on what was said in chat, ruining the whole experience.
If this was an intended change, please revert it asap.

Is this issue still occurring for you? If so, on what device or browser? Please make sure you are running the most up-to-date version of your browser/device OS, as well. Thanks. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Do you still need more info or what's the status on this?

I've now spent another hour debugging this mess. Tested across 3 browsers, all 3 show the same behaviour.
As soon as I enter fullscreen, the IRC WS will send a PART message for this channel, upon exiting the fullscreen mode, a new JOIN message will be sent.
The PART message does not get sent when the person using twitch is not signed in. In the current production files, you can put a debug marker at https://static.twitchcdn.net/assets/vendor-d9396b5f165286517242.js Line 30762 and then enter fullscreen mode. If you are signed in, the debugger will hold execution there, basically confirming that chat disconnects when in fullscreen.
Oh, and to be very clear, there is a key listener for the F key that triggers this as well as the button for fullscreen, both somehow feel the need to PART from the chat
