[Test] First Participation Highlight in Creator/Mod Chat
Some creators will notice a new first-time chatter highlight is now available in chat. This feature lets creators and their mods identify and welcome newcomers in chat to their community when appropriate. The highlight is only available to creators and their mods in chat and is not displayed to the rest of your community. This feature is in a limited release, and we will monitor feedback before making it more widely available.
Creators and their mods are enrolled in the limited release automatically, and they can toggle the feature on and off in chat settings under "First Time Chat Highlight."
We'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions here. We look forward to hearing your feedback!
We are happy to announce that the First-Time Chatter Highlight is now available to all creators and mods! You can learn more about this feature at the below link. Thank you all for your feedback!

It helps so much and I acknowledge them straight away when they chat in the stream! Great addition!

This is quite helpful as we can notice straight away when new people come in to the chat. We can be more confident on how we greet them.

Any word on this becoming available to everyone? Really enjoy and see the benefit of it on another channel. Would love to have it on my own.

I've enjoyed it a lot! As someone who's not great with names this helps me remember who's new or not, so no complaints!

This feature is phenomenal. No complaints whatsoever. It not only helps to say hi to new viewers, but it also prevents me from awkwardly "welcoming back" people who are actually first-timers to the stream. Signed into UserVoice just to say how much I love this and want this to stay. Looking forward to when this is rolled out to everyone!

Have seen this feature in one of my friends' streams. Appearedintuitive and a fun way for new viewers to communicate with chat. Looking forward to testing it out.

Very good feature for engaging with first time viewers. I could see it losing value as your channel grows, but it also gets better engagement and has helped me retain new viewers.

I have really liked this feature, it draws my eyes to new chatters immediately if chat is busy. The only downside is that bots that enter the channel to spam get highlighted as well, but even this helps mods track them down and remove them quickly!

I am not a huge fan of this feature, I feel like there's been several people who have taken advantage of knowing their first time message is highlighted to be less than fantastic. I think the feature itself is fine, but perhaps allow creators to toggle it on or off.
