Adding pronoun information to chat
For people who are trans and/or non-binary, letting streamers know your pronouns in chat so that your gendered correctly can either be awkward or difficult. An option for people to add their pronouns in brackets beside their usernames or in their profile cards in chat might help to let the streamer and/or chat know if a user feels it's important.

This would be perfect! I’ve been struggling with setting up an extension that’s supposed to do this as well! Having it as an option from twitch would be wonderful!

There should be an option to set pronouns and set them next to user names to avoid any confusion.

Agreed! It would be nice to just have pronouns as a dropdown field you can specify and then have that show up when you click on names in chat

I love this idea, I mean easily could put it in my bio but as you said sometimes they're not bothered to read them! Love this honestly.

That is definitely a great idea to use so that new followers will know your pronouns as they begin their journey with you!

I’d like the option to choose pronouns and have them be visible next to your channel name as a streamer (or viewer), like the way Instagram and Tiktok have it shown, instead of having to use a tag slot. Even though I have my pronouns in my bio, many people still ask. If viewers click on me directly, they don’t bother to read bios :) There are third party applications that make it easy for viewers to share their pronouns, but they don’t help the streamer as much

Just add the thing natively already, a lot of us already use a browser extension for this - how hard can it be for twitch to add it?
Because honestly? Being a woman on the internet is already hard enough and it gets double annoying when someone calls you a dude or he/him all the time just because you use a name that's not gendered at all and by that I mean, that it's a word or a name that has no gender attached to it. Unfortunately we live in a weird world where people default to male all the time. But women on the internet exist just as much as non-binary people.
Respecting others doesn't gravely injure you or whatever, it does not inconvenience you despite what some might like you to believe. It's just a common courtesy. You wouldn't go out in the street either and address a random woman with 'hey dude' or 'Sir' either.
