Emote Shop
Users will be able to purchase emotes in an "Emote Shop". Streamers can choose how much to charge for each of their emotes. The user can purchase emotes from various streamers and will be charged monthly for a one lump sum per month, 3 months, 6 months, or unlimited time price. This will encourage revenue for streamers from people that don't want to pay the full subscription price. This will also make people want to collect emotes from different streamers. Perhaps a trophy system of some sort could be included with this system to encourage people to buy more emotes as well.

I think it would be a really good idea if users were able to buy individual channel emotes. They could be set at a price that makes sense to twitch and the channel (2.99/3.99) and the channel gets a portion of the funds. Also some users might not like/want all emotes that a channel has and it’s monthly. Right now users can click on an emote and subscribe to the channel which is a fantastic feature but maybe we can get an option to just buy that emote as well. Permanent purchase would be ideal but maybe .50 or .99 a month might work.

Sub tiers are awesome but what if users could purchase/sub to individual emotes or even "packs" of emotes from a channel. Many channels have at least 1 or 2 exceptional emotes but people may not be fully committed to subscribing full to their channel. Something like $0.25/emote or $1-$3 for a "pack" of emotes from a channel. It'd be a nice way for users to at least micro-support channels they can't fully sub to

a one-time purchase would be great. Imagine if we can have limited-time seasonal emote packs that our viewers can buy and it's for them to keep the emote packs forever. I'd say let Twitch decides the pricing based on how many emotes you get per pack.

Pretty good idea, I like it.
But think about this: the user already pays at least $5 for one channel with the most favorized emote. Why should you change this, if there is a possibility that this user might also be subbed to two or more channels, just for the emotes?!

It's pretty common for viewers to want just a single emote of a partner that they might not have any desire to watch, or they don't have enough money to support 5 partners. Allow people to buy 5 emotes / month (maybe add tiers) but award streamers $.50 / month per account that's purchased their emote. 50% goes back to twitch, smaller partners can thrive with some good emotes, and viewers aren't strained to over/under support. Everyone wins.

I think Twitch needs to start an Emote Subscription Service. Place all emotes from partners and affiliates into a database where users can select from all of them. They could select for example any 20 emotes for $5 a month or 50 emotes for $10 a month etc. Twitch could easily track usage and pay the owner of the emote a fee based on how often their emotes get used. Twitch makes money, streamers make money and people get their favorite emotes without having to subscribe directly to a channel. I feel many people won't sub to a channel just for 1 or 2 specific emotes but if they could get them through another service, Twitch makes money, the streamer makes money and thet user gets the emotes they want.

I had just thought of this today. I was thinking Twitch sells a custom bundle for $9.99 and the viewer can select 10 emotes from any streamer. If a streamer's emote is selected, they get half of the $0.99 per emote. This is renewed every month like a normal subscription and people can select new emotes if they wish. This will also encourage innovation and make streamers want to have the best emotes possible to sell them in the custom bundle.Win-win all around.
