Delete whisper messages
I think it would be good if you can delete your whisper messages.

Yes please let users delete whispers on both sides.
There is shared Personal Information from giveaways or whatever that users dont want on the internet anymore, being able to delete them for both the sender and the receiver is an absolute must. -

Totally agree with this. If someone has been banned and then reinstated into a channel, it would do much to help the person by them being able to remove any whispers having to do with that.

I sent too many whispers to someone while they weren't active, and it looks like I'm being desperate

What if you type something by mistake that could come across as bad? Users should get the right to do that!

I hope that the private message function can delete historical conversation records. Some data is left on it but cannot be deleted.

It is a shame, not to say scandalous that one is not able to delete their own (whisper) messages. That's crazy. This needs to be fixed.

sad fact is you use to be able to do this via the curse client when they first integrated twitch chat into it.

Please provide a function to delete the whispering exchanged with the other person.
If I accidentally whisper personal information or potentially abused words with the other person, please allow them to delete them from the server database so that they cannot abuse them.
Please add a function so that the other person can't see the whispering. -

The whisper system in Twitch chat is unfortunately not without some issues. I frequently whisper friends on Twitch and when the number of messages becomes more that one or two, the system gets buggy. It will randomly scroll you back to messages that had been sent sometime in the past. It will stop you from sending messages. It has on occasion, sent a message and then not posted, or posted it at some other random interval. On occasion, a msg from before will resend itself. These issues cause a great deal of frustration and confusion. While discussing it with a friend, we hypothesized that the system is not meant to hold a large number of messages. Perhaps by having the ability to purge whisper history, it will cut down on the number of bugs. It will also leave people feeling less vulnerable to the possibility of others gaining access to their information. (In addition, the whisper msg system may need to be overhauled.)

Why are we not able to delete messages?

You are able to delete whispers on twitch website but not mobile app. This needs to be an option for the app as well.

Dans les whisper pouvoir supprimer ses messages ce n’est pas disponible. Ça peut être bien d’avoir la fonction pour supprimer ses propres messages ou même les autres messages.

How to do that? Pls

Add "clear whisper history". History should be cleared on both ends.
Just closing chat by pressing X won't cut it. -

you can do that

im confused, if you are on the web client and open up the little whispers tab on the bottom left of chat and you hover over the whisper, there is an X that shows up. just click the X and it deletes the whisper. i just tested it 3 times and it works for me at least.
