Accepted 'feature request' badge If you guys do incorporate this idea, can you guys create a new badge like 'glhf' badge or Twitch prime badge specifically for people who have requested a feature that has been implemented into the Twitch system so we can get recognition and have proof to tell friends and show chat. When tagging someone on chat, the content of the message should determine the order of names listed. For example when the words "ban" "unban" or "moderator" are mentioned, more than likely the user is trying to reach out to the Moderators of the channel.
In a similar approach, we can also track users of the last X amount of messages sent because the user may also be likely to be replying to a comment. A Second Chatroom To Preserve A Stream's Community/Culture Sometimes smaller channels get a large influx of people to the point that the existing community is drowned out and can't talk to each other. A channel I've been a part of for a year has 4000 viewers more than normal, and chat's moving so quickly the regulars can't even talk to each other. What about an auxiliary chat people can move to if the streamer has added them there for being a longtime community member? Blocked terms When writing a blocked term, the user gets this message:
"Your message wasn't posted due to conflicts with the channel's moderation settings."When writing a long message, the user wouldn't be able to know which one of the words is blocked on the channel. And taking time to find out which word is blocked, and reformulating would be too complex.
The error message should print out the banned word(s) if the user entered one or more banned words, such as:

Add link whitelist The same way you can blacklist and whitelist terms in the chat, it would be useful to be able to whitelist links in the chat. Using a bot for this is not ideal because the links is deleted by the bot and still visible to users with extensions. Messages with links should not be sent at all and some links/domains should be whitelistable

Changeable chat background colour. It would be nice to be able to change the background colour to something more customisable but also so streamers who have difficulty reading chat with only white or black background. It takes those people longer to read and react to chat.

Add The Ability To Add Nicknames To Followers There have been many times where a follower in chat has asked to be called a certain name, other than their Twitch username. If there is a way that the streamer can assign a nickname to a person in chat, that only the streamer can see, I think that would be helpful and a way to connect even better with regular viewers.

chat word/phrase replacement with the advent of the new mod tools i feel now is the right time to introduce word a replacement for chat. As an example, the channel owner and mods have the option to set replacements so if someone wants to be inflammatory by typing "oi your hair is stupid" the message appears in chat as "hello your hair is super". in the example the word "oi" is replaced with "hello" and "stupid" replaced with "super", this should be case insensitive and have replaced words highlighted so mods can check what was replaced with the original message posted in mod…

Could you implement a way to highlight a certain word or another users chat? Suggestion:
Add a way for a user to highlight specific words or users in chat.Reason:
I find myself trying to read certain users comments/topics, but they often get lost in the general chat stream. This often happens when the channel has a moderator running the chat portion of the stream while the person on camera is talking. The ability to highlight a user or a certain word would help locate them in a busy chat situation.Thanks

@mention another user in chat Can you please add a feature to quickly mention a user in chat?
For now the only option is to type out "@" and their nickname which is
1) slow;
2) inconvenient when chatting in another keyboard layout as you need to switch it twice just to mention someone.

Command Chat This idea specifically pertains to command driven channels, like Twitch Plays Pokemon, SaltyBet, and the like. Generally in channels like this it becomes very difficult to read conversation when the chat is flooded by commands, and depending on the channel, bot responses to those commands.
My suggestion would be to grant channel owners the option to have a bot/command specific chat log, perhaps with a simple vertical separation from the standard chat, so as to separate commands from conversation.

Old/new badges There are a ton of really cool global badges that are no longer obtainable due to Twitch no longer selling games on the site. Seems a shame that these icons were created by some talented staff but nearly no one has them.

Indicate the use of a channel restricted word in chatbox (before entering) It is quite annoying to type in chat, and find out that you have used a restricted word in this streamers chat. It would be useful if the the restricted word would show or be marked red instantly(before entering). This makes it possible to rephrase the sentence to allow it being posted in chat.

Chat API Hook Before Distribution Provide an API hook to extension developers which notifies on each received message before it is going to be distributed to the users.
Bots can only delete already delivered chat messages afterwards. Clients can intercept the deletion. Furthermore it is not possible to write own chat commands for now.
With a hook, if a user types '/do something', extension developers were able to prevent the delivery of the message and perform some action instead.
Beyond that I would like to see API calls to send chat notifications to specific users - just like 'your message has not been sent yet.…

Customisable Chat Window as Overlay The stream viewing options on desktop include "fullscreen" (no chat displayed) and "theater mode" (chat occupies about 1/3rd of the screen, on the right). Given that the vast majority of streams are in widescreen format, dedicating a large vertical column to chat results in the gameplay "window" occupying less than 1/2 the screen, with huge "letterboxing".
