How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. Sometimes when a streamer is in a tournament they have to put the chat in emote only mode or else be considered cheating. This is often done by putting chat in emote only mode. However by default VIP/Mod can still chat as normal during this mode, and a chatter may accidentally enter in chat in a situation where it may be considered that the streamer is cheating. It would be optimal to have stricter enforcement modes for emote only, a boolean toggle for VIP and a boolean toggle for Mod. Or, perhaps we can ignore mod enforcement because these are…

  2. Translator = Traductor.
I don't know if anyone will read this but well, it would be interesting to see that as in the PC version of twitch it lets you reply to a comment and thus create threads, put a translator playing on a message that you don't understand (plus there are subtitles for the live) Since sometimes people arrive who do not speak the language and we can barely communicate through emotes or a couple of phrases to express ourselves, then language borders would not be such a barrier when it comes to enjoying new and diverse content.

  3. Specific user slow mode, Instead of turning on slow mode for the entire chat i would like to turn it on for individual users, i think this would make moderating specific users easier and more discrete without disrupting the flow of the entire chat.

  4. Being able to add slowmode to a specific person. If there's no reason to time them out or outright ban, making it so they can't spam every second. Can slow them down from behind the scenes!

  5. There are times when I need to get my streamer's attention as a moderator but it's difficult to do when they're not looking at the chat. It would be great if mods could give some kind of sound notification, like a small "ding" or something the streamer chooses, so the streamer knows their attention is needed when they're able to look at chat.

  6. Many games that streamers play can be ruined when chat meta games. It would be cool if there was a /meta <message> so you could still talk with chat about what's going on without ruining for the streamer.

So if I were to type "/meta omg, xyz character is right around the corner!" only other people in chat and moderators can see it but its hidden to the streamer.

This would be huge for the RP community.

  7. This idea is to prevent spoilers and backsitting.

So they way mods have prevented these things until now was deleting spoilers/backsitting/etc very quickly hoping the streamer won't see it. But sometimes it happens anyways.

So my idea is this: when you activate "Spoiler mode" you can only see the messages that have been aproved as "safe" by the mods. That way, everyone is safe 100% garanteed.

  8. As the topic says,

a feature to AUTOMATICALLY restrict and monitor all accounts following your channel the same day as the accounts where made.

This would save me and most likely others a lot of work going through your follower list everyday to keep obsessed psychopaths out.

I am of course talking about the new marking feature that recently came to be where you can choose to monitor a suspicious chatter and even restrict his messages from being seen by the rest.

  9. The idea is to better counter the issue with unwanted links and at the same time provide a way for regulars to post links without getting purged by botmods such as Moobot, AnKbot, Nightbot, etc.

How it works: The streamer and their mods gets a new option ("Links in Chat" to allow them to limit how links acts in chat from the moment this option is changed onward. Possible values:
    • "Allow" - Just allows link, unregulated except for the case there's a URL in the blacklist (example: TinyURL).
    • "Moderated" - Puts messages containing links "on hold", similar to…

  11. To help combat hate raids while streamers are off-line, how about a feature to disable chat when a streamer is offline? It can be a simple feature toggle "Disable off-line chat", or even include the ability for viewers to chat for a period of time after the end of stream before disabling. Also, a switch would allow streamers to leave it on, in case they use it for community features.

  12. A badge for both creators AND chat members.

The creator badge will be shown next to the creators name on their live stream thumbnail, as well as in the title of the stream next to their name, but also will show the chatters birthdays as well.

Weve all been in a chat and someone obnoxiously @s the streamer saying "ITS MY FRIENDS DOGS COUSINS SISTERS BIRTHDAY TODAY - CAN YOU SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BIG BERTHA!??"

If we have a birthday badge, it will subtly put that exciting news out there without anyone having to tell anyone else about it…

  13. It is no surprise that if you watched any stream, most streamers have "Regulars" that they game with. I think there should be a badge a streamer can give to those that they play with constantly on stream.

  14. wenn in theatre mode with the chat under the video, the leaderboard blocks 1/3rd of the chat window (atleast on my screens)

please let us disable the leader board in the chat setting so we can se more of the chat

side note the "stream chat" bar that seperates chat from the video is way thicker than it needs to be blocking another 1-2/10th of the possible chat window

  16. My chat filters delete a couple pretty specific terms/phrases. But even people whom I've seen before in my chat and enjoy the company of still fall prey to my filters from time to time. And it's quite disheartening when all of their contributions to the chat are completely purged because of one new message.

With instances like this, for old and new users, it would benefit not just myself, but a good chunk of other streamers from what I've seen, to have things so that ONLY those individual messages with the actual filtered content gets deleted, as opposed to a…

  17. One annoying thing on a stream is when the streamer (or even the chat users) answer the same questions over and over.
A cool feature that could be added is a new command called Question.
When the message begins with a "/?", a bot could try to answer to the question ask depending on keywords that is it.
The streamer would just have to think about common questions that people ask, finding keywords of the questions, and then mapping it to an answer.
On the chat, a bot would show the possible answers that could fit. Then and only then,…

  18. Right to the point: I have a stream where i am regular viewer Guild Wars 2 game, but there is a player who plays in competitive scene of that game, known to the streamer i watch and his viewers.

I've been mistaken for that player many times in streamer's twitch chat because of my nickname, which is similar to that player's nickname.

I don't want to change my global nickname because on other streams it's fine, but for that stream alone, where i am constantly mistaken for someone else, i would set some unique nickname.

    I.e. Just like Discord's server…

  19. So, I know Pride Months is over soon, but it's never to late to do it.

I wanted to show my support to Pride Month and me as many others we have done it already.

But I would love an option for us to use a rainbow color username during Pride Month to show the support.

  20. The Idea is being able to send a message through the use of the microphone without having to type on their PC or Phone keyboard. This will help any viewer who is cooking, driving, or doing anything to prevent them from being able to send a message in chat using their keyboard. Having a built in Virtual Assistant (VA) like Siri or something similar would be a brilliant implementation for Twitch. This idea is a bit more extreme, but it in the near future would expand the possibilities for Twitch. You can say something like, "Hey Siri (or whatever Twitch…
