Optional Chat Message Delay There is more delay when watching from mobile app rather than computer, approximately 5 more seconds. Therefore, messages sent by using a device that does not have extra delay will be spoiler for mobile users. Thus, mobile users are forced to get away from the conversation environment if they do not want to be exposed from spoilers. For this reason, there might be an optional setting in mobile app to compansate the extra delay for the chat flow for who does not want to see the chat messages beforehand. text notifications in chat when followed streamer goes online or changes games since live notifications dont work in theatre mode (which im in 100% of the time) could we plz get notifications in chat that are highlighted when
1: a streamer i follow comes online
and
2: a streamer i follow changes game categoriesthis is very useful information to know so we can watch something more interesting to us asap without having to rely on discord notifications or twitter etc

Rank symbol next to name When you connect your twitch account with a game, if ranked, it would show next to your name in chat. Only when you are watching a stream listed under that game it would show.

Image upload to twitch chat The ability to upload any image to the chat of any streamer, which has a sample duration of about 30 seconds, which by default can only be uploaded by the content creator and channel moderators and which has a filter in case obscene things are uploaded. Images from twitter or any platform could also be shown and displayed as the cover of the Clips in the chat.
This could show in the chat, with command, more personalized badges or a random face of any follower / subscriber that the streamer has previously created, without strictly diverting attention from the broadcast.

Let us turn off either gift subscription notifications or chat entirely. When watching a stream, and people keep giving out gift subs, the chat window keeps opening and shrinking the actual video I am watching. Either allow us to turn off gift subscription notifications or let us turn off chat entirely. Otherwise, I will stop subscribing and just watch on YouTube later.

Separate chat box for @ messages. A separate chat box that catches @ messages to that specific user, i'm in a chat that move fast at time and i miss a few messages that people have @ me in so i thing a separate box at the bottom to show your own @s from other people would be great.

500 character limit chat mod exemption It would be very helpful if chat mods were able to exceed the 500 character chat limit. This is especially so when trying to input something into Nightbot but having the message to be too long and not being able to say what you want to say.

Add Profile Pictues to Chat On the left side of viewers names in chat, have a small profile picture so that people are more distinguishable. Would be better for smaller streamers and looks aesthetically pleasing. You could also make this an option that streamers can set in their chat settings.

A personal slow mode or pause chat button Can we get a personal pause or slow mode button? In some of the channels I follow chat goes by so fast that I can't even see my own posts before they disappear and when I scroll up of course that does nothing because every new message resets the chat to the bottom.

VIP chat room Based on my experience watching a lot of DJ's currently streaming the chat can get very busy and this makes it hard to keep up with conversations.
Could a 'VIP room' option be added where there is either a separate chat for any Subscribers/VIP status members or could some of the other users chat be filtered or offset to make picking out chat from certain users easier?
The username colours help a little but as this is repeated a lot in a busy chat the username has to be read to pick out comments from friends.

chat timer Give users chat timers. Allow free users to send a chat once per 30 sec or a minute. sub users have shorter chat timer. I just joined Twitch, and the chat is so broken. 99% of chats are lost in the crowd.

Feature to disable auto-relock chat (when loads of messages are being sent at the same time) When many messages are being sent at the same time in the chat, you can't really scroll up to look at an emote name for example. The chat auto-locks back to the bottom, no matter how hard you scroll up. A feature to disable that auto-relock would be great I think, so we can scroll up manually, then we can go back to the bottom with the already existing button.

Allow Incoming Viewers To See Previous Chat Messages I would like to have the ability to enable an option where new viewers to a stream can see previous messages posted in chat. There are times when viewers may come into a chat, but have no context, with what the streamer is discussing as they are unable to see previous messages in chat.
