  1. A lot of times if someone raids in and a lot of chat activity goes on during stream, it is hard for the broadcaster to read or see the person who raided in their chat messages. My idea is to spotlight the raider if they are being shouted out with the "/shoutout" command for a minute or so.

  2. I thought it would be a great idea if we as steamers could give people more roles than VIPs, mods or editors. Such as discord, different and certain roles with badges and a bigger interaction with chat and the people in it.

Everyone could be able to get a role and be able to interact with roles.

There would be more customisation in your own hands as a streamer and a new way to get people to chat and come visit in your chats/streams

  3. Problem:
    - Right now it appears as if a self-hosted and thus unverified bot with a separate standard Twitch account is shadow-banned from whispering people through WebSockets (wss://irc-ws.chat.twitch.tv:443). It looks like it works, but the messages never arrive, I've tried with my own bot account and friend's bots.

    Solution:
    - To me, it seems reasonable that a bot that has been set to be moderator in a channel should also be able to whisper users that are currently connected to that same channel.

    Additions:
    - It could even be further restricted to when the channel is live if need be.…

  4. Upgrade the /shoutout command to have a browser source overlay that plays clips. Broadcaster can limit how long the clips will be played and the creator of the clips can toggle a "Clip Available for Shout Out" option for each clip that way us smaller streamers who enjoy video shout outs can still do them and the other creators can choose what clips appear.

If a creator has no clips designated for Shout Outs, then their profile picture will appear with their name.

  5. I would love to have the chance to give some reaction to an another user message. This could help even the streamer to select wich messages are worth to read and answer (if it is a question).

  6. Translator = Traductor.
I don't know if anyone will read this but well, it would be interesting to see that as in the PC version of twitch it lets you reply to a comment and thus create threads, put a translator playing on a message that you don't understand (plus there are subtitles for the live) Since sometimes people arrive who do not speak the language and we can barely communicate through emotes or a couple of phrases to express ourselves, then language borders would not be such a barrier when it comes to enjoying new and diverse content.

  7. Ability to have different chat colors on different channels. e.g. for one red chat color for the other blue chat color. This can also be done as a Turbo or Prime Gaming feature.

  8. Hi Twitch,

could you present the information displayed in the chat for the users in a little more detail->

Currently you can see the following in the chat:
    - last follow activity (date)
    - Subscriptions (in series, total subscriptions)
    - badges etc
    My current suggestion would be:
    - first follow activity (date)
    - week watching time (time in hrs)
    - monthly watching time (time in hrs)

    Thanks in advance!

  9. If someone forget to set a space after end of sentence point (.) Twitch chat make a link out of it. Example: ...is really heavy.for years i try to... The "heavy.for" is shown as a link. I'm sure it will be misused in the future, when more sublevel domains are on the market. We have the it for italy domain for example. You could just do a page like ****.it and post a sense making sentence around this "link"... You know what I mean...

  10. So, I know Pride Months is over soon, but it's never to late to do it.

I wanted to show my support to Pride Month and me as many others we have done it already.

But I would love an option for us to use a rainbow color username during Pride Month to show the support.

  11. wenn in theatre mode with the chat under the video, the leaderboard blocks 1/3rd of the chat window (atleast on my screens)

please let us disable the leader board in the chat setting so we can se more of the chat

side note the "stream chat" bar that seperates chat from the video is way thicker than it needs to be blocking another 1-2/10th of the possible chat window

  12. Hi all !

I post this message to know if what I'm thinking about does exist.

I'm talking about an option to have the messages, from some chatters, "pinged" on the chat window (live chat continue scroll & pinged messages stay for 15-20 secondes, this option for big streamers or not).

With this, we can add something like 50 chatters (or more), who paid this option (like a sub)🤑🤑🤑

this is just to know if this think exist on twitch?

    Have a godd day 🤓🤓🤓

    Kind regards from Belgium

  13. Allow Moderators to mark deleted text with flags (such as SPOILER for game spoilers, or TOS for issues which may require suspension/banning now/later)

Some broadcasters want to verify why people were moderated, and they don't want to risk reading deleted/purged chat messages only to come across a current game spoiler they were trying to avoid.

When moderators delete the text of a user, if they could later click on it in the message history and flag it with <SPOILER></SPOILER> or <TOS></TOS> it would be great.

  15. I have banned a user from my channel also banned from whispers etc.
    Here is the problem:
I mod for various streamers. The user is in those streams too but not banned.
Because i banned the user from my own channel and whispers etc i can not see the chat messages posted by this person in the chats i moderate (except when they have onscreen chat ). This is very inconvenient. As a mod you need to be able to see all the chatters messages.

Please make it possible to view the whole chat for mods including the users privately…

  16. Just a small visual bug I have encountered in a very specific window size but It could be useful to fix it to prevent future clipping with other elements.

I think the emotes pop z index could be changed up to be the same z-index as other overlays. To prevent it from clipping with other chat elements, currently the stream title

    I believe it to be: --z-index-overlay: 3000 and is currently --z-index-default: 1

  17. Observed Behaviour:
    Given chat is enabled,
and given the browser window is less than 920 pixels wide,
and given the browser window is more than 786 pixels high,
when a user enables theatre mode,
then chat is shown below the stream,
and then there is no button to hide chat.

    Expected Behaviour:
Given there is enough space vertically (currently 170px in addition to the stream player),
then there is a button to show/hide chat.

  18. On phones when editing text it is difficult especially in 日本語(Japanese) to select and edit text due to accidental pressing of the bit and emote button. Maybe a slide-out drawer for emotes and bit would be better to clear the chat field or just place it on the opposite side out of the chat field.

  19. Date observed: 5/5/2022

Twitch chat is causing memory leaks. I only observed this because I was watching a streamer with 100k+ viewers and my computer crashed with 32GB of memory with all other applications closed.

In Dev Tools on a Chromium browser:

    1. Select "Performance monitor" in Dev tools.
    2. Observe the JS heap size and the DOM nodes, they progressively increase as chats are sent.

    Another way to observe:

    1. select "Memory" tab in Dev tools.
    2. Use "Allocation instrumentation on timeline".
    3. Record and observe the memory allocation.

Note: tested on Edge and Google Chrome with all the extensions turned off.

  20. I have been seeing people saying spell checks from Windows to other Browsers don't work only on Twitch. Starting in April this is happening to lots of people and just a few days ago it happened to me. Please fix this it's obviously an issue with Twitch because none of us are having this problem in other webpages.
