An official "Regulars" status in stream chats
We have many statuses in a chat, Regular Viewer; Moderator; Global Moderator; Broadcaster; Admin and Staff.
A level between Viewer and Moderator would be nice to have without a bot to do so, known as "Regulars".
Regular status would ideally be given to those who frequent your stream. If you have a Moderation bot, the moderation bot could ignore if a Regular would spam a lot of emotes yet not trusted to have full moderation powers.
Regular status would come with a chat badge, being a smiley face. The streamer can individually turn the badge on or off in their chat if they wish to do so.
(Background color is up to your choice!)
This has been implemented with the VIP role =)

I personally feel like it should be integrated into Twitch itself.

This would be incredibly helpful, also if alongside sub only chat we could have regular only chat? That would make dealing with troll raids so much easier, that way you can still prevent the trolls from flooding the chat but still interact with your regular community.

There is already such feature in Nightbot, but I have never seen it actually work, let alone the fact that you need to pay in order to have more than 20 slots.
I DEFINITELY would love to see this as a built-in Twitch feature

Something like this could be useful to replace status mods – people who are only given moderator for extra visibility, sub-only chat access or simply timeout immunity.

I think this should be controlled by third party bots only, and not by Twitch necessarily. Like have it programmed so that Twitch pulls a regular list from bots like Ankhbot and Deepbot and reward those people with whatever symbol Twitch chooses to actually use. If a streamer chooses not to use a loyalty bot then maybe give them the ability to automatically add someone as a regular just like a mod status.

Love it. A way to say "I know you, but I don't trust your judgement."
Why, I've had many a streamer stumble over their words,
with similar sentiment to express.A smiley for the swordless? Impressive.

The idea for a badge is so people don't get confused in "Why is this Non-sub/Non-mod able to talk in sub mode but I can't?"If a badge is too much for public; maybe making it only visible to Moderator; Global Moderator; Broadcaster; Admin and Staff ranks would be better? Still to show that the person is a regular in the channel, but not viewable by everyone?
And thank you for the support everyone!

I think with this concept the broadcaster and mods should have manual control over who becomes Regular.
I could see Regulars being able to post links, reduction to slow mode penalty and other variables that can be altered by the broadcaster to build the community they desire. My main thought is to not give power to Regulars over others but to reduce the restrictions on chatting. My concern is does this need to have a separate badge or is there another solution to identifying a Regular?
From a business perspective a badge by someone's name might retract from the appeal of Subbing on Partnered channels. Maybe this is something only for Non-partnered channels as its a way to identify supporting members of the community? -

@Xangold - Muted has commented with pretty much the primary reasons.
"I think they should be able to talk freely during sub only mode/slow mode, pretty much everything a mod has other than mod powers."
- Would also suggest no message blocking for fast chat posts. People do enjoy their emote pyramids in their chat; used in moderation of course.Thank you for your time Xangold, and thank you Muted for giving supporting reasons.

If you show involvement in the channal and are a regular viewer you should be rewarded with a badge and benfits such as being able to go in sub only chats and being able to get away with spam and breaking rules as you are a trusted viewer

Bots would use this to allow certain commands for certain people but we technically already have that its more so for having people stand out in chat without being a mod. I do not believe they really have more privileges than any other user just an added symbol to make them stand out.
Like other streamers you want people to see but not have mod powers as they dont really need that. Or someone who has supported your stream for a long time but cannot sub. Things like that. the only feature i would see needing is the ability to do like a regular addon to the giveaway system so you can give them added tickets n such too.

I really think this should be implemented in some form... whether it be automatic or manually provided by the broadcaster.
What's good about it is how it encourages viewers to engage in a channel and do so in a positive manner.

I think this would help a lot in building communities, because it would enable broadcasters to limit actual mod powers to active moderators, while still giving recognition to friends and other broadcasters. It would also provide a "carrot" to improve chat behavior of chat regulars. Currently there is only a "stick."

I don't see the added benefit of this.
Okay - a regular may or may not get a smiley next to his name.
that's all the benefit there is.Maybe you can think your plans out a bit more? Because having a new level like regulars - will have a lot of work involved in it with no benefit like you psoted really.
"Regular status would ideally be given to those who frequent your stream. If you have a Moderation bot, "
you were talking about "not having a bot to do so", most bots already have a regular feature.
I hope you don't take it too insulting, but what exactly is the benefit of this new "level" being implemented in twitch itself over a bot? -
