1. Better control over hyperlinks

   currently we only have 2 settings for hyperlinks in the chat:
   1. everyone can post links
   2. restricted to Streamer/Mods/Admins/VIPs

   as hyperlink detection is already present for option 2, it would be a nice thing to have a 3rd option:
   Pull messages that contain hyperlinks into the AutoMod for approval

   This gives the streamers and their mods the opportunity to review the message and link. They can then deny or approve of the message on a case by case basis.

2. Stop discriminating against users for the phone service they choose.

   Twitch has disabled me from using Whispers. Twitch will not send a SMS verification code to either of my two phones. I choose my phone services because of affordability. Twitch believes because I live on a budget I deserve to be banned from using Whispers. I am now forced to ignore friends in community chats who whisper me.

3. VOD chat transparent and less obtrusive

   For people watching VODS, let people use the transparent chat like you can do during live streams. It would allow you to have a much cleaner look and be better than black bars taking up some of the screen and making the video smaller.

4. Block Hype Chat

   Hype chat, like most twitch ideas is astonishingly awful. It will serve the singular purpose of enabling the most unwanted messages, by the most unwanted viewers to be completely unavoidable thereby handing them the elevated levels of attention and annoyance they have always desired. Please put in an option to block and not see these messages … ever. I understand Twitch wants and may even need to make more money but, who in their right mind would want to stare at messages by the most pathetic among us? I’m not saying to get rid of it. I’m just asking for a way to opt out of the inevitable insulting, racist, sexist, hateful etc messages that this awful idea will obviously attract.

   Give channel moderators the power to shout out someone in chat by clicking their username and selecting a "shout out" option (another way of shouting them out vs. using /shoutout @username).

6. I would like a feature to see the chat on Xbox

7. Mouseovers on emotes pop up and make it difficult to select

   Mouseovers for channel points and emotes pop up too soon, get in the way and make it difficult to select. It gets annoying and time consuming to mouse away to somewhere else on screen and back to select an emote or a series of them in my commonly used that is blocked by a mouseover popup {userYYemoteZ}. I already know whose emote it is! Also same problem with the bonus channel point redeem. I can't click on it when it's covered by the mouseover pop up. I can see how some nerd thought it might be a neat idea, but it isn't needed and seriously interferes with the interactive side of twitch. If I want more info on a emote I see someone else use, why not enable a "right click for more info"?

9. Raid Chant - Bring Chants to Raids

   SCENARIO - A Broadcaster is Raiding another Broadcaster and asks Chat to Copy & Paste a Raid Message

   BACKGROUND - A Broadcaster needs to program their Raid Message(s) into a bot, and then the Broadcaster/Mod must manually trigger the command(s) in chat pre-raid. Users must find the correct Raid Message based on subscriber status, in a moving chat, and then manually Copy & Paste once the Raid is complete. If the User doesn’t have Pause When Scrolling enabled - this is a frustrating task. Additionally, New Users on Twitch do not know about Pause While Scrolling, making this process the most difficult for newcomers, adding friction to on-boarding.

   PROBLEM - This is a poor user experience. It requires significant set-up, especially for new Broadcasters, and manual input(s) from each Chatter each and every Raid.

   This also leads to poor uptake in Raid Messages. If a stream has 100 Viewers, 60 of which are Chatters, they might have 20 Chatters post the Raid Message.

   It’s overly complex. A Broadcaster needs to make sure to Copy & Paste their own Raid Message while signing off, and performing the Raid itself.

   SOLUTION - Chants. Use a slightly modified Chants feature to bring Raid Messages into the Raid Command as a first-party feature.

   When Raiding, once Chat has been redirected to the raided Broadcaster, a Chant box would appear in the Chat with the appropriate Raid Message pre-filled. Chatters would only need to click a button to send the Raid Chant. (A new term to distinguish this Raid Message from a traditional/current Raid Message)

   This would eliminate/replace manual commands pre-raid, as well as Copy & Paste for each User. It would also eliminate selection errors, where unsubscribed Chatters select the (wrong) subscriber Raid Message.

   ADDITIONAL BENEFITS -

   1 - Disable Raid Chant: Not all Broadcasters are appreciative of Raid Messages. This feature would enable possible additional controls for the Raided Broadcaster to disable or limit Raid Chants

   2 - Emote Lending: This feature would enable a possible additional feature - where all Raiders would be able to send a Raid Chant with Channel Emotes regardless of subscription status.

   3 - As a whole, Raid Chants would serve as a foundation for other Raid/ Raid Message features

10. Tool Tips Breaking UX

    The new Tool Tip pop up that has been released site wide breaks all site functionality in Chrome and Firefox whenever a UI element is hovered over. Including emote selection, all chat UI elements, mod tools, channel points, chat identities, or any UI element that has a hover over text pop up effect. Issue can be replicated on multiple systems and multiple browsers. Embedded chat in OBS uses the old tool tips and is unaffected. When the tool tip is active the entire website cannot be scrolled, including chat and main channel pages. When clicking the tool tip, the site treats this as clicking on blank space, closing emote pickers or other context menus, or even selecting UI elements that were behind the emote picker/menu, such as mod tools in chat. Preventing scrolling in chat because the mouse was hovering over a chat icon or an emote is unfortunate, but selecting safety and moderation tools inadvertently is critical. Thanks for reading. 15. Backseating educational popup/warning

    Adding new features that punish backseating is shortsighted and ignores that many users simply don't know better yet and would behave differently if they knew. A non-punitive, private reminder popup about backseating should be issuable to individual chat users or to the entire chat as a reminder. To describe the rationale more fully, here's a breakdown of the problem and a proposed solution.

    Problems:

    1- Many users don't know what backseating is, or do not completely know every behavior the term covers. Many users simply engage the chat and only discover later that what they said constitutes a backseating problem. This user experience is already poor. Making matters worse, the term "backseating" is rarely explained the same way twice. Users attempting to learn in good faith what it means might learn different standards for what behaviors are unwanted ("don't give the streamer gameplay commands and don't spoil the game"), only to discover there was more to the definition at a later date. For instance, it often also includes foreshadowing ("i love this next boss," "good luck with this next part"), discussions of the lore and so-called "fun facts" ("fun fact, the creator wrote this part of the story after robbing a real bank"). At present, Twitch seems not to offer any agreed-upon or official definition of this behavior on their platform to educate users that this behavior is sometimes unwanted.

    2- Streamers' rules (chat popup, rules section, overlay prompts, etc.) about backseating are not always understood and often are ignored. For starters, if users don't know what backseating is, this term means nothing in a list of rules or reminders, meaning the behavior is just as likely to occur as ever. Users again are likely to engage the chat however they wish, only to learn later that it was a problem. Additionally, users might not even read rules where they currently appear anyway. Some streamers request in their rules that users type specific string of text in chat if they have read the rules. Anecdotally less than 1% compliance is common for new chatters, particularly if chatters arrive in a raid in a hurry to enter a raid message. Backseating behavior might be reduced for users that attend these rules, but more can be done to encourage acknowledgement.

    3- Streamers and their moderator teams routinely have negatively experiences due to pervasive backseating while playing popular or classic games. It visibly upsets many streamers because their boundaries are being ignored, stories they hoped to have genuine first-time reactions to are spoiled, and left unchecked, chat messages between users begin to build on each other as a contest to establish who knows the most. Sometimes the expectation backseaters alone is enough to dissuade streamers from streaming certain games. Twitch can do much, much more to protect its creators who are earning them engagement.

    4- Users who backseat in streams do not encounter helpful in-the-moment examples of alternative ways to interact with the streamer other than backseating. Said another way, if backseating is unwanted, specifically how should they act instead? Often backseaters did not intend to hurt anyone and approached a streamer playing a game they have fond memories of playing. Once reprimanded with current methods (callouts in chat by other users, callouts from the streamer, timeouts, or bans) backseaters typically feel unwelcome and leave without a good learning opportunity to engage the chat in a different way. They remain likely to repeat this pattern in other chats after they leave.

    Suggestion to address these problems, which addresses problems 1,2,3,4

    A- Create the ability to issue a reminder popup either for specific users or to all users in the chat, which requires them to acknowledge the content before they can participate in chat again. The reminder popup contains a Twitch-approved definition of backseating, examples, and alternative ways to chat. It should also contain optional links to video examples that load in a separate tab. This is likely to be more effective than requiring the streamer or mod team to use heavy-handed methods like timing a user out, banning them from chat, or verbally reprimanding them in front of the whole chat, which can negatively affect the stream engagement and community.

    B- If users are shown this warning in multiple different chats over a period longer than a week, a Twitch reminder should be sent by email to warn them of the possible consequences if they continue to ignore this warning. Also include links to sources that model more acceptable chat behavior. The goal isn't to lock accounts or encourage a ban-evasion, it is to educate about this important boundary that many streamers require to participate in their communities.

16. Ping all for mods

    I regularly notice that some people miss important moments of the stream and then ask what happened or make clips to watch the replay. Usually these people are sitting in a neighboring window or tab, or busy doing something else but interested in the stream.

    It would be great to be able to call everyone to the screen at important moments of the stream that you want to see live.

    To do this, I suggest giving moderators the ability to ping everyone in the chat with @all or the /heyall command, which would be the equivalent of you writing the nicknames of the entire chat except the streamer: @username1, @username2, @username3, and so on.

    Uso la plataforma desde mi celular y ahora me pasa que cuando veo algún directo me sale quw ha finalizado la transmisión y vi varias transmisiones y es igual osea yo no los puedo ver pero la gente que esta en directo si los ve y los escucha entonces opté por borrar el caché cerrar la aplicación y entrar denuedo y seguía igual, luego desisnstale la aplicación y la volví a instalar y problema persiste no sé que hacer vi mi problema en videos de yputube y no he visto ningún video que me solucione el problema hasta le pregunte a ai bing y me dio algunas recomendaciones y las puse en pr!chica y nada también que mi internet es muy bueno de fibra óptica de verdad necesito una respuesta de twtch pirque no puedo ver las transmisiones de mis streamers favorito ayuda

    In the filter window it would be great to be able to hide other user's command chat to reduce the constant stream of spam.
