Remove ban function for mods
Instead allow mods to ban for 24hours
Only the broadcaster can permanently ban users

Actually, this isn't a terrible idea. A time restriction on the maximum timeout a moderator can give a viewer, versus giving them full access to indefinite timeouts and permanent bans and the ban appeals is something I would want as a broadcaster.
By which I mean, I would like to reserve some of the moderation functionality for myself and not give moderators full authority over it.
Being able to restrict the moderators of my channel to only time out viewers, for a maximum of 24 hours would give me the ability to review their enforcement actions later, and not open them up to the opportunity to take over my channel. -

Anyone who thinks this is anyway a good idea needs to re-evaluate their behavior that is causing them to get banned. if you get banned permanently chances are you're doing something to deserve it. If you haven't done anything to deserve it do you really want to be in a community that allows their mods to erroneously ban anyone for no reason?

I got banned from two streamers because of a two-strike rule breaking on one of the associated Discord servers. These kind of moderators of course flat-out rejected the appeal too and forever banned as such. Even a week or month would be better than forever. And add a way to stay subscribed and add silent support options. And read-only chat.
