rewind button in a live stream
Similar to how Dota 2 interface for watching live games, it would be helpful for users to be able to rewind couple of seconds during a live session of a stream to rewatch something they might have missed without having to wait for a vod.
I was literally just watching a stream live when I accidentally hit my phone's home button. Now I can't go back. I've been waiting for this stream for a month, and because of one little mistake I'm now unable to enjoy the show because of course it had to be right during a twist moment. Fix your shit, twitch. This is why no one likes you anymore.

I second this, YouTube live has it and it is super helpful. Sometimes I get in 10 min late, and being able to rewind to when it started is huge and the biggest issue for not wanting to use Twitch....

This would be amazing! People are busy and can't always tune in for the entire stream. Allowing rewind would help users go back and check big moments, and engage with the content of the stream, instead of being completely lost.
If it's a concern, chat could be disabled for users who are not viewing the stream live.
I would also like this feature available when watching vods, especially on the mobile app; most broadcasts are 3+ hours long so it's really difficult to be able to rewatch a specific play without rewinding a couple minutes before the play
I'm all for this. This would make Twitch so much better. It'd be great to be able to pause a broadcast and then pick up where you left on when you hit play rather than refreshing to the live portion. Almost like DVR for Twitch.
