Around 110 million people speak Farsi worldwide and in Iran alone, there are more than 28 million gamers according to a national survey.

There are many Farsi speaking streamers on the site and I'm sure Twitch knows about the number of people using the website within Iran (even though many use VPNs almost all the time to be able to access many websites next to watching twitch). As many have said before, not having the option for the language of the stream is hurtful for all the viewers of the website. No one uses the "Other" language option to find streams, and the most likely choice is to use English since it's the language they are more likely to understand. This forces streamers to choose the "English" tag in their streams and put "Farsi" in the title so there is a chance for people who speak the language to find the stream. And this is annoying for people who are actually looking for English streams. Everyone loses in this reality.

And that's why we're asking for "Farsi" to be added to the options. Having the website in Farsi is not necessary (although the foundation is already there since Arabic and other right-to-left languages exist on the website), but please do consider adding Farsi. Twitch is a website created for ALL gamers, no matter their nationality, race, ***, gender, orientation or beliefs, and we Farsi speakers would like to be included as well! :D

There are people on Twitch, who have a program that allows bot spamming in chats. They buy accounts somewhere in the form of login:oauth:token and connect them to their program.
They used to spam ads to promote themselves, now they do that to create conflicts between streamers or just to mess with streamers.

It is possible to get an Oauth:token through the Twitch API request, using apps verified by Twitch.
If I understood correctly from the developer's words, Twitch can get info about a token that sent the message.

What do I suggest to deal with the problem is to add a form to a channel settings in order to put there the names of users (bots), which can send messages in chat using oauth:token got by a 3rd party app.

I think it'll be the most effective way to deal with spammers because in most cases the accounts used for spamming are stolen ones and users whose accounts were stolen wouldn't be happy to find out they were banned from some channels because someone was spamming from their accounts.

This is not to take away from the improvements that have already been made, and are being implemented. The work that is being done is greatly appreciated.
However, further change is needed to better protect streamers for banned users. Merely preventing chatting is not enough to deter harassment, stalking, or intrusive bot behavior.

Most people are aware that measures often can be circumvented, that is not an excuse for the lack of protection that currently exists.
Streamers need a way to completely cut off a user from content. I believe the proposed measures are reasonable, and will also provide protection against abuse as well as preventing intrusive bots from squatting in channels without permission.

The proposed changes are:
1. A banned user is prevented from connecting to a channel's chat completely, which means their name does not appear in the list of viewers.
2. A banned user is prevented from viewing the stream itself, on site or using other means.
3. A banned user is blocked from subscribing and following, and will be automatically unsubscribed and / or unfollowed.
4. A banned user is prevented from viewing any other channel information and content, including the streamer's panels, VODs, clips, followers, and followed accounts.
5. A streamer must be able to toggle an option to treat logged out viewers similarly as a banned user, preventing any access until they log in.

Additionally, to prevent excessive account creation, the following measures should be implemented as well:
6. Accounts need to be verified by e-mail.
7. Limit the amount of accounts per e-mail, to 1 or at a maximum 2.
8. Limit the amount of accounts that can be created from a single IP address per day.

Please allow streamers to remove people from their follower's list. As a small streamer, I struggle with trolls, and I have made many streamer friends who have had the same experiences as me. On more than one occasion I have banned a troll from chat and had them return with upwards of 3 other accounts, sometimes even up to 10 or 15 other accounts during one stream. (Keep in mind my average stream is about 2.5 hours, and I try my best to not acknowledge or encourage the trolls at all, I just ban them and move on.) They follow each time they return, adding new but empty follows to the follower count.

I have had trolls return with new usernames that target my mods, or reference something that was said earlier in the stream, or even referencing their past usernames that were previously banned. Their follows are meaningless because they will likely never return with that account that they made to troll a specific streamer.

Many streamers try to keep track of their follower to viewer ratio as they grow. To see what they're doing wrong or right, and to see what helps them grow or makes them lose followers. Having those empty follows of people who will never return is quite a problem.

Here are a few of my suggestions:

- Automatically removing someone from the follower's list if they get banned in chat.

- Giving streamers the option to view their banned chatters list and manually remove the follow themselves.

- Remove the option to make multiple accounts with one verified email address. (This enables trolls to make new accounts in just a couple of minutes and quickly return to keep harassing a streamer)

- If a streamer has banned several usernames that share the same email, allow the streamer to ban the entire email address and any associated usernames.

- If a streamer has banned several usernames that share the same email, allow the streamer to remove any and all usernames that are associated with that email from their follower list.

Trolls will not keep me from streaming, but implementing at least one (if not several) of these ideas would be a huge help to me and many other streamers out there. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Add custom level category for an increasing community of players that are streaming custom made games or levels such as TRLE levels (tomb raider level editor/ trle.net). Could also apply to other games with custom maps/mods etc.

There is a steadily increasing audience for these levels and it is detrimental to the streamer to have to set the game as "tomb raider the last revelation" most of the time, purely because this is the engine used, but not actually what is being streamed. People will open the stream for tomb raider 4 but leave when its not actually tomb raider 4.

Sub points should be accumulated & not get expired along with expired subs as it helps streamers to unlock emote slots quicker. And with more emotes available, potential subscribers would be more enticed to sub or continue their subscription.

Looking at "expired" sub points on our partnered dashboard not only demoralized streamers before the start of each stream, we'd get less interested to help promote subscription to our viewers & would encourage direct donation instead.

My current subpoints which unlocked 24 emotes is now at 366/1,000 because 600+ gifted subs expired this month. I don't see how I could get my next 25th emote slot unlocked if Twitch doesn't allow partnered streamers to keep the subpoints earned fairly & paid for from viewers.

I believe that the Verified Badge is misinterpreted and should definitely be reworked. I am of the opinion that this badge is interpreted as a partner badge. Because currently only partners get this badge, this should be changed in my opinion. In fact users should also qualify for this badge if they are not a partner. So that also the following users are also eligible:

- Users who are Twitch Partners.
- Users who are Twitch Affiliates.
- Users who are Twitch Developers.

I mean: Users who have completed the onboarding, to confirm the identity. Furthermore you could confirm the identity at twitch events to have a two factor process (id check). That it is really this person.

I'm quoting from the Apr 24, 2017 article on Twitch: "We will be developing a policy on which additional users might qualify for this badge in the coming months."

That was several years ago and nothing has changed.

Just like emote only mode, slow mode, or r9k mode, a mode that would allow viewers to spam as hard as they want.

Many streamers I watch (and some for whom I mod for) encourage spam when they get raided or during special moments, but because of Twitch chat restrictions, viewers can only send the same message every 30 seconds. Many viewers feel left out in these moments because they can't really spam, and the streamer usually asks for more, so everyone is frustrated in the end.

What I suggest is something like /spam and /spamoff commands for mods+ to allow viewers to spam the same messages every 5 seconds (since it's Twitch chat restriction for bots), or even for a shorter amount like mods can.
