  1. Create a list of "Restricted Games" that can only be broadcasted behind an 18+ age gate.

Some games with nudity/sexual content are banned, and some games with nudity/sexual content are NOT banned. This creates a dilemma; on a daily basis, I see many broadcasters and users saying, "Why is X banned, while Z is unbanned? Z is worse than X! We should be able to broadcast X on this website!" These inconsistencies have caused confusion and frustration for broadcasters and viewers alike.

For the purpose of this suggestion, let us establish two types of games:

    1. Pornographic games.
    2. Games that contain nudity/sexual content, but are NOT pornographic in nature.

Pornographic games can be defined very…

    • "Would you like to resubscribe to this broadcaster with Twitch Prime?"

When watching the broadcaster you previously subscribed to with Twitch Prime and your subscription ends, trigger a resubscribe notification In the same way Twitch pops up the "Announce your resub anniversary" notification.

Have it suggest resubscribing with Twitch Prime once it's expired. If they click "share", it automatically resubscribes with their Prime subscription.

      • Work together with developers to get banned games allowed back on Twitch

I’m developing a game called Yandere Simulator.

In January of 2016, Twitch added my game to their list of prohibited games: help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/articles/1992676-list-of-prohibited-games

This was a newsworthy event, and numerous websites reported about it:

        http://www.pcgamer.com/yandere-simulator-banned-from-twitch/1
        http://www.polygon.com/2016/1/22/10815594/yandere-simulator-banned-twitch-reddit3

        http://www.techtimes.com/articles/127108/20160123/twitch-bans-users-broadcasting-yandere-simulator.htm

The Twitch community reacted with confusion, unsure why the game deserved to be banned: www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/4230gv/so_yandere_simulator_is_now_banned_from_twitch/2

I made a video about the subject, expressing my own confusion: www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_KPVLXf3B03 This video has been viewed over 877,000 times.

Over the past 11 months, I have attempted to contact Twitch numerous times to ask why Yandere Simulator is banned. However, Twitch has never given me a…

        • Let emotes artists use the emotes they draw for partnered streamers for free

It would be awesome if Twitch allowed artists who design emotes for partnered streamers use them for free!

A suggestion is for Twitch to create the option for partnered streamers to specify which artist(s) created their emotes when they upload them which would then allow the artist to use those emotes on Twitch.

Benefits to this is that it would provide more exposure to both the streamer and the artist. The artist would get more promotion through sharing their created emotes on Twitch. Fans of the artist who enjoy their art style would be able to see which emotes the…

          • Implement a "VIP Badge" so streamers can identify important persons (Devs, Community Managers, Industry persons or just general VIPs)

Streamers regularly have to Mod persons of interest in their chat, whether other streamers, devs, community managers or just general "VIPs" in chat so they can be more visible and be interacted with more effectively.

This results in many streamers having Mods in the triple digits, and management of the Mod team being more complex.

A simply implemented fix to this situation would be to bring in a "VIP" status badge, with none of the authority of a Mod Badge.

Implementing this feature would allow streamers greater flexibility in how they handle their communities and make communicating with one another…

            • Automatically refresh stream page when broadcaster goes live

Before you implemented the new player you didn't need to refresh the page when a stream went live. Now you will not even notice when a stream goes live unless you refresh the page.

              Example:
              Current behavior:
              1. Go to offline stream page (ex https://www.twitch.tv/reckful)
              2. Reckful starts his stream
              3. Nothing happens and the user has no idea that reckful has gone live even if he has had this tab open for hours

              Wanted behavior:
              1. Go to offline stream page (ex https://www.twitch.tv/reckful)
              2. Reckful starts streaming
              3. Stream starts playing instantly

              I know that this worked…

              • Create a "Global Paintbrush Badge" for artists who have designed emotes for a certain # of channels

Artists who draw Twitch emotes have contributed so much to the Twitch community yet receive so little recognition on Twitch for all their work.

It'd be nice if these artists could received some sort of "Global Paintbrush Badge" as recognition for all the hard work they put into creating emotes for Twitch users to use.

A suggestion is that after an artist has designed emotes for a certain number of channels (e.g., after designing for 50 channels, they're considered a "verified emotes artist") they can receive the badge. This could be something that artists have to apply for after which…

                • Established accounts only -chat mode

Currently we have all kinds of ways to block various people from chatting, except the most important one: People avoiding bans by creating new accounts.

Thus we should have a new mode that only allows users with "established" accounts to chat, i.e. the account must be reasonably old.

Continuing with the theme of follower-only mode this should likely be configurable, with the number of days since an account was created for the user to be able to talk.

                  Suggestions for default: 7, 30, 90, and 180.

Even requiring 7 days since the account was created will make it significantly more…

                  • Making twitch more friendly to small streamers

In my opinion, Small channels should be able to be seen abit more easily. when i want to check out new high quality streamers with a low view count that are stuck down the list im having a hard time because you need to scroll endlessly until you find them. I am sure they would appreciate being able to be seen better

                    • Flagging messages as spoilers / Setting the channel to spoiler sensitive

The idea behind flagging messages as spoilers is allowing people to have a discussion without ruining the experience for others.

Mods would be able to flag a message as a spoiler, making the message hidden for the user until they click on it to reveal it.

Another idea would be a command for mods to set the channel to "spoiler sensitive" which allows viewers to self-flag their messages as potential spoilers if they are not fully sure about what is allowed to talk about or not.
Having this only allowed only whenever the channel is specifically set to this mode…

                      • Allow me to choose where the purple Twitch bar is located.

The new Twitch layout forces me to have a purple navigation bar at the top of the webpage that I cannot hide or scroll away from. This means the layout now has 2 bars at the top of the screen that display different things and neither of which can be scrolled away from and neither of which I have the option to hide. Now when I watch a stream on a 1080 monitor in fullscreen, the video is not centered on my monitor and is instead lower on the screen and there is no way for me to center it…

The 'communities' system is not an appropriate way to categories creative streams. It is not appropriate (or ethical) to allow a streamer to manage/administer what has effectively become a category for creative streamers.

                            • Create "Dual sub" emotes

Have Twitch Partners be able to officially partner with each other and create a set of emotes that viewers can only access if they sub to both channels. Each Partner still has their normal emote set of course, but if you sub to both channel A and channel B you also get a few "AB" exclusive emotes. Unsubbing from either loses you access to the dual sub emotes.

Many pairs of Partners already have emotes of their own that combo well with each other, purposely. For example, two Partners have "wave" emotes that face each other to look like a…

                              • Custom Badges for members of a twitch team

Basically streamers who are part of a twitch team will have a badge that will ONLY be visible in stream chats of the members of the team just so viewers and mods of those streams can identify the members of the team and not confuse them with trolls and it could be beneficial for everyone since some viewers could give that team mate a look to their channel. Only the leader of the team should be able to create the badge by the way.

                                  • Watch Series with Viewers (Prime Viewers only)

Do you know that feeling as a Streamer when u want to chill and relax and just want to watch some TV series with your viewers? But you can't, because it's against the twitch rules?

So some time ago Twitch and Amazon Prime got so much intertwined, that it would be possible to do exactly thesw chill-series-streams some streamers want.

The TV-series streams would be only visible for prime users and when a streamer switchs to this kind of stream, the non-prime users will get a screen where it says, that they can't watch the stream and need to purchase…

                                    • Make follow button on clips more visible

So my hobby is to find unique moments and advertise small streamers via clips. I have a quarter million plays now and also use socialblade to track follower increases. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/3XuMOg2.jpg

Currently the follow button on clips only shows upon hovering. How many users even realizes it's there? Why not make it more visible and reduce barrier of entry? This would increase follower rates and help support streamers, as well as encourage clip marketers like me. The follower numbers & growth could be much, much better. There's plenty of screen estate left on the right sidebar, please use them to…

As a user, I would prefer that my social actions not cause any notification to the broadcaster or the chat.
Such actions include (but are not to be limited to) following, subscribing to, and hosting a twitch channel

                                        • Allow a timer for autohosting to turn on/off.

It'd be nice if streamers could set dates and times for autohosting to automatically turn on or off.

                                          Examples:
                                          1. An autohost turns off everyday at 5am, about an hour or two before the streamer usually goes live. It turns on at midnight, a couple hours after they've normally gone offline.
                                          2. If a streamer is going on vacation, they can set the autohost for the specific dates/times they will be gone and unable to stream.

I believe that having more options and control over autohosting would prompt more people to use it when they are not live.
